Do not let gear oil spill into the environment.
Please protect the soil and dispose of waste
oil in a environmentally-friendly way.
Do not let waste water containing mineral
oil spill into the soil, into waters or without
treatment into the discharge channel. Ob-
serve the locally valid regulations and
waste water by-laws
To avoid danger to persons, animals and
property before the first operation of the
system, read:
– the operating manual
– all safety instructions
– the respective national statutes of the
legislator
– the safety instructions which are at-
tached to the used detergents (normally
on the packing label).
For the operation of this system the follow-
ing regulations and directives are applica-
ble in the Federal Republic of Germany
(available from Carl Heymanns Verlag KG,
Luxemburger Straße 449, 50939 Cologne):
– Accident prevention provision "General
rules and regulations" BGV A1
– Safety for vehicle wash plants DIN
24446
– Order in respect of operational safety
(BetrSichV).
Ensure:
– that you have understood all the instruc-
tions
– that all users of the plant are informed
about the instructions and have under-
stood them.
The following symbols are used in this op-
erating manual:
Danger
indicates an immediate threat of danger.
Failure to observe the instruction may result
in death or serious injuries.

indicates a possibly dangerous situation.
Failure to observe the instruction may result
in light injuries or damage to property.
Note
indicates useful tips and important informa-
tion.
Only persons may be entrusted with the op-
eration, monitoring, servicing, maintenance
and checking of the vehicle washing plants
who are familiar with these works and are
acquainted with the operating manual, and
who have been instructed about the dan-
gers involved with the plant.
Self-service vehicle wash plants must have
a person available on operational standby
who is familiar with the plant and, in the
event of an operational failure, who is able
to perform, or arrange for, the necessary
measures to avoid possible dangers. In-
structions concerning the operation and in-
tended use of the plant must be posted
where they can be easily seen at the wash-
ing place.
To avoid damage to the vehicles and the
plant, only private cars and closed trucks
may be cleaned according to the specifica-
tions in the section "Technical Data/Dimen-
sions", vehicle dimensions.
Maintenance work may be carried out only
when the plant is switched off. In this case
the main switch must be protected against
unauthorized restarting (attach padlock at
the main switch).
Take protective measures when handling
cleaning agent concentrates which contain
hazardous substances. Especially goggles,
protective gloves and personal protective
clothing must be worn and the instruction
leaflets/safety data sheets attached to the
detergents have to be observed.
Unauthorized persons may not enter the
vehicle washing plant. The entry prohibition
is to be indicated continually and in a clearly
recognisable way.
Danger of slipping in the plant from mois-
ture on the floor and on the plant sections.
Move with care when working on the plant
and wear suitable footwear. Washing cus-
tomers must be warned of the danger of
slipping through suitable notices.

Warning
To avoid danger through false operation,
the plant must be operated only by per-
sons,who
–
are instructed in its operational handling
–
have proved their capabilities in respect
of operation
–
have been explicitly commissioned to
use it.
The operating manual must be made avail-
able to each user. The plant may not be op-
erated by persons under 18 years old.
Trainees over 16 years old and under su-
pervision are exceptions here.
This wash plant is designed for the exterior
cleaning of private cars with standard
equipment and closed lorries according to
the section "Technical Data/Dimensions",
vehicle size limits. Included in the intended
use are also the following:
– observing all instructions in this operat-
ing manual and
– the compliance with the inspection and
maintenance instructions.
The plant must be set up by qualified skilled
personnel. When setting up the plant, appli-
cable local safety regulations must be ob-
served (i.e. distances between the plant
and building).

Warning
Danger of damage from ice forming in the
plant. The water must be drained from the
plant when there is a danger of frost. The
circulation routes for customers using the
washing plant must remain slip-resistant
(e.g. using underfloor heating, gravel).
The plant is shut down at the control device
or the washing card reader. The passen-
gers must leave the vehicle before the
washing process. Entering the plant is pro-
hibited during the washing process.

Damage to property! Failure to keep to the
vehicle size limits can cause damage to the
vehicle and the plant.
The portal washing plant of private cars is
not suitable for the cleaning of
– Special trucks, e.g vehicles with roof and
alcove installations to the front over the
wind screen, construction machinery
– vehicles with trailers
– two-wheel vehicles
– pickup trucks
– cabrios.
Should the above-stated instruction not be
observed, the vehicle wash plant owner is
not liable for any
– injury to persons
– damage to property
– injury to animals resulting thereof

Before Startup
Environmental protection
The packaging materials are
recyclable. Please do not throw
packaging in the domestic
waste but pass it on for recy-
cling.
Old units contain valuable recy-
clable materials. Batteries, oil
and similar substances may
not be released into the envi-
ronment. Therefore please dis-
pose of old units through
suitable collection systems.
A battery in the control unit
supplies the system clock with
power in the event of a power
failure. Batteries contain sub-
stances that must not enter the
environment. Please dispose
of your batteries using appro-
priate collection systems.
