Resetting the Recorder [CLEAR]

status. It is useful if you are having
problems with the recorder, or if you
want to erase the entire memor y of
the recorder.

be destroyed or erased by operating
mistakes, unit malfunction, or during

For safe and correct Usage
• Be sure to stop the recorder before
replacing the batter y.
• Do not leave the re corder in hot,
humid l o c atio ns such as inside a
c l o s e d a u t o m o b i l e u n d e r d i r e c t
s u n l i g h t o r o n t h e b e a c h i n t h e
summer.
• Do not store the recorder in places
exposed to excessive moisture or
dust.
• Do not use organic solvents such as
alcohol and lacquer thinner to clean
the unit.
• Do not place the recorder on top of
or near electric appliances such as
T Vs or refrigerators.
• Avoid sand or dirt. These can cause
irreparable damage.
• Avoid strong vibrations or shocks.
• Do not disassemble, repair or modify
the unit yourself.
• D o n o t o p e r a t e t h e u n i t w h i l e
o p e r a t i n g a v e h i c l e ( s u c h a s a
bicycle, motorcycle, or go -cart).
• Keep the unit out of the reach of
children.
Batteries

• Batteries should never be exposed
to fl ame, heated, short-circuited or
disassembled.

alkaline, lithium or any other non-
rechargeable batteries.
• Never use any batter y with a torn or
cracked outer cover.
• Keep bat teries out of the reach of
children.
• If you notice anything unusual when
using this product such as abnormal
n o is e, h e at , s m o ke, o r a b u r n i n g
odor:

remove the batteries immediately
while being careful not to burn
yourself, and;

call your dealer or local Olympus
representative for ser vicing.
Troubleshooting
Q1:
Nothing happens when a button
is pressed.
A1:
The
HOLD
switch may be set to

] position.
The batteries may be depleted.

No sound or quiet sound is heard
f rom the sp eaker while playing
back.
