C a l i b r a te   t h e   a p p l i a n c e   b e fo r e   s te a m i n g   fo r   t h e   f i r s t  
time. The appliance sets the boiling point.

C a l i b r a t i o n

T h e   b o i l i n g   p o i n t   o f   wa te r   d e p e n d s   o n   b a ro m e t r i c  
pressure. As air pressure drops with increasing 
elevation, the boiling point drops as well. During 
calibration, the appliance sets the boiling point to  the 
pressure conditions at the place where it is inst alled.

It is impor t ant that the appliance steams without 
i n te r r u p t i o n   fo r   2 0   m i n u te s   a t   1 0 0 ° C .   D o   n o t   o p e n   t h e  
a p p l i a n c e   d o o r   d u r i n g   t h i s   t i m e .

Following a power cut

The appliance saves the calibration settings even in the 
event of a power cut or disconnection from the mains. 
Recalibration is not necessar y.

Before using the accessories for the fir s t time, clean 
them thoroughly using hot dete rgent solution and a sof t 
cloth.
