When your phone’s memory is full
When you have an incoming t ext message and your
phone’s memory is full, one or more messages, of lowest
priorit y, will aut omat ically be delet ed in order t o receive
t he new t ext message.

You can clear t his not ificat ion
by pressing OK.
Not e: Messages are usually delet ed from your Inbox. An incoming
emergency message may delet e messages from your Saved folder.
Touch tone length
This feat ure det ermines t he lengt h of each t ouch t one
when t hey are sent aut omat ically.
Short set s t he t one lengt h t o .1 second. Long set s t he
t one lengt h t o .5 second.
You can set t he t ouch t one lengt h by pressing Menu
4 2 3 2 (Settings - Phone settings - Touch tones - Touch
tone length).
Touch tones
Your phone can generat e various sounds, called t ouch
t ones, when t he keys are pressed. These are also known
as DTMF t ones.
Touch t ones can be used for many aut omated, over- t he-
phone services such as checking bank balances, airline
arrival and departure times, and using voice mailbox
options. Touch tones can be sent only when a call is active.
Storing touch tone strings
St ore t ouch t one st rings t he same way you st ore phone
numbers (
see page 52
).
