Of ficial emergency numbers vary by locat ion (e.g. 911). Only one
emergency number is programmed int o your phone t o be dialed
aut omat ically by Emergency key 9, which may not be t he proper
number in all circumst ances.
Entering text and numbers
You can ent er t ext and/or numbers when st oring
informat ion int o your phone via your phone’s keypad.
When you see t he let t er you wish t o ent er, simply press
t he key associat ed wit h t hat let t er unt il it appears on t he
display (numbers also appear).
ABC mode
When you need t o ent er let t ers int o your phone, it will
aut omat ically swit ch over t o
mode.
Your phone displays t he
icon t o indicat e t hat your
phone is in ABC mode. It also displays when you are
viewing names rat her t han numbers.
