syst em, it ’s possible for you t o receive discount ed 
roaming charges. Check wit h your service provider t o 
maximize use of t his feat ure.

In non- preferred syst ems, normal roaming charges are 
det ermined by t he host  syst em. Your phone is designed t o 
select  a syst em most  favorable t o you concerning t he cost  
of t he call and recept ion qualit y.

Not e: When roaming in some syst ems, you may need t o have a 
roaming agreement  in order t o place a call. If no roaming 
agreement  has been arranged, a net work operat or may int errupt  
and request  informat ion on how you int end t o pay f or t he call. 

If you have more than one phone number

The current ly- select ed NAM in your phone det ermines 
which syst em is your current  home syst em.

Text messages and paging 

When you subscribe t o t he t ext  messaging net work 
service, you can receive t ext  messages and pages wit h 
your phone. See your service provider for det ails and 
availabilit y.

Text message options

Inbox is where incoming messages are received and 
st ored. All new, unread messages are kept  here.

Saved is where all saved, read messages are kept  here.

Erase all allows you t o erase all t ext  messages. However, 
unread t ext  messages will not  be erased.

Receiving text messages

The maximum lengt h of a received t ext  message is about  
250 charact ers. Your phone has space t o receive up t o 30 
t ext  messages, depending on t he lengt h of each one. 

Not e: Text  messages t hat  you receive wit h your phone may appear 
diff erent  at  t imes, due t o messages t hat  originat e in net works 
ot her t han your own. This does not  aff ect  t he use of your phone in 
any way.
