Important Battery Information
•
The bat t ery can be charged and discharged hundreds of
t imes but it will event ually wear out . When t he operat ing
t ime (t alk t ime and st andby t ime) is not iceably short er
t han normal, it is t ime t o buy a new bat t ery.
•
Use only bat t eries approved by t he phone manufact urer
and recharge your bat t ery only wit h t he chargers
approved by t he manuf act urer. When a charger is not in
use, disconnect it f rom t he power source. Do not leave t he
bat t ery connect ed t o a charger f or longer t han a week,
since overcharging may short en it s life. If left unused a
f ully charged bat t ery will discharge it self over t ime.

(NiMH bat t eries only) For opt imal operat ion, discharge t he
bat t ery from t ime t o t ime by leaving your phone swit ched
on unt il it t urns it self off . You can also use t he bat t ery
discharge f eat ure of any approved accessory available f or
your phone. Do not at t empt t o discharge t he bat t ery by
any ot her means.
•
Temperat ure ext remes will aff ect t he abilit y of your
bat t ery t o charge: allow it t o cool down or warm up f irst .
•
Use t he bat t ery only for it s int ended purpose.
•
Never use any charger or bat t ery which is damaged or
worn out .
•
Do not short circuit t he bat t ery. Accident al short
circuit ing can occur when a met allic object (coin, clip, or
pen) causes direct connect ion of t he + and - t erminals of
t he bat t ery (met al st rips on t he back of t he bat t ery), for
example when you carry a spare bat t ery in your pocket or
purse. Short circuit ing t he t erminals may damage t he
bat t ery or t he connect ing object .

Leaving t he bat t ery in hot or cold places, such as in a
closed car in summer or wint er condit ions, will reduce t he
capacit y and lifet ime of t he bat t ery. Always t ry t o keep
t he bat t ery bet ween 59º F and 77º F (15º C and 25º C).
A phone wit h a hot or cold bat t ery may t emporarily not
work, even when t he bat t ery is f ully charged. NiMH
bat t eries’ performance is part icularly limit ed in
t emperat ures below 14º F (- 10º C). Li- Ion bat t eries’
performance is part icularly limit ed in t emperat ures below
32º F (0º C).

Do not dispose of bat t eries in a fire!
•
Dispose of used bat t eries in accordance wit h any local
regulat ions.
