Internet Control Message Protocol
(IC MP)
is a message control and error-reporting protocol
between a host server and a gateway to the Internet. ICMP uses Internet Protocol (IP)
datagrams, but the messages are processed by the TCP/IP software and directly apparent to
the application user.
Respond to Ping
on WAN
The NBG-418N v2 will not respond to any incoming Ping requests when

to reply to incoming WAN Ping requests.
VPN Passthrough
Select the checkbox to enable the advanced pass through features:

PPTP Pa ssthro ug h:
Select this option to allow the NBG-418N v2 to pass through VPN traffic
using PPTP.

L2 TP Pa ssthro ug h:
Select this option to enable computers on your LAN to make L2TP VPN
connections to servers on the Internet.
•
IPSEC Pa ssthro ug h:
Select this option to allow the NBG-418N v2 to pass through VPN traffic
using the IPsec protocol.
