show stp ports 

Purpose 

To display the Switch’s current instance_id configuration. 

Syntax 

show stp ports {<portlist>} 

Description 

The 

show stp ports

  command displays the STP Instance Settings 

and STP Instance Operational Status currently implemented on the 

Switch. 

Parameters 

<portlist> 

– A port or range of ports to be configured. The port list is 

specified by listing switch number and the beginning port number on 

that switch, separated by a colon. Then the highest port number of 

the range is specified. The beginning and end of the port list range 

are separated by a dash. 

Restrictions 

None. 

Example usage: 

To show stp port 1 on switch one:

Purpose 

To create instance ID on the Switch. 

Syntax 

create stp instance_id <value 1-63>
