config multicast_fdb
Purpose
To configure the Switch’s multicast MAC address forwarding
database.
Syntax
config multicast_fdb <vlanid 1-4094> <macaddr> [add | delete]
<portlist >
Description
The
config multicast_fdb
command configures the multicast MAC
address forwarding table.
Parameters
<vlanid 1-4094>
− The
item of the VLAN on which the MAC address
resides. The range is between 1 and 4094.
<macaddr>
− The MAC address to be
configured to the forwarding
table.
add
− Specifies that the MAC address is to be added to the
forwarding table. Delete will remove the MAC address from the
forwarding table.
delete
− Specifies that the MAC address is to be removed from the
forwarding table.
<portlist >
− A port or range of ports to be configured.
Restrictions
Only Administrator or operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure multicast MAC forwarding:
DGS-1210-28MP:5# config multicast_fdb 1 00-00-00-01-02-03
Command: config multicast_fdb 1 00-00-00-01-02-03

delete multicast_fdb
Purpose
To delete an multicast entry in the Switch’s forwarding database.
Syntax
delete multicast_fdb <vlanid 1-4094> <macaddr>
Description
The
delete multicast_fdb
command deletes a multicast entry in the
Switch’s MAC address forwarding database.
Parameters
<vlanid 1-4094>
−
Specify the VLAN group via VID.
<macaddr>
− The MAC address to
be removed from the forwarding
table.
Restrictions
Only Administrator or operator-level users can issue this command.
