config 802.1x auth_protocol
Purpose
To configure the 802.1x authentication protocol on the Switch.
Syntax
config 802.1x auth_protocol [radius_eap | local]
Description
The
config 802.1x auth_protocol
command enables configuration
of the authentication protocol.
Parameters
radius_eap –
Uses the list of RADIUS EAP servers for
authentication.
local –
Uses no authentication.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, operator or power user-level users can issue this
command.
Example usage:
To configure the RADIUS (AAA) authentication protocol on the Switch:
DGS-1210-28MP:5# config 802.1x auth_protocol local
Command: config 802.1x auth_protocol local
Success.
DGS-1210-28MP:5#
config 802.1x reauth
Purpose
To configure the 802.1x re-authentication feature of the Switch.
Syntax
config 802.1x reauth port_based ports [<portlist> | all]
Description
The
config 802.1x reauth
command re-authenticates a previously
authenticated device based on port number.
Parameters
port_based
– Instructs the Switch to re-authorize 802.1x functions
based only on the port number. Ports approved for re-authorization
can then be specified.
ports <portlist> –
A port or range of ports to be re-authorized.
all –
Specifies all of the ports on the Switch.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, operator or power user-level users can issue this
command.
Example usage:
To configure 802.1x reauthentication for ports 1-18:
