TIME AND SNTP COMMANDS 

The Time and SNTP commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed (along  with the appropriate 

parameters) in the following table.

Each command is listed in detail, as follows: 
 

enable sntp 

Purpose 

To enable SNTP server support. 

Syntax 

enable sntp 

Description 

The 

enable sntp

 command enables SNTP server support. SNTP 

service must be separately configured (see config sntp). Enabling 

and configuring SNTP support override any manually configured 

system time settings. 

Parameters 

None. 

Restrictions 

Only administrator and Operator-level users can issue this 

command. SNTP settings must be configured for SNTP to function 

(config sntp). 

Example usage: 

To enable the SNTP function: 

DGS-1210-28MP:5# enable sntp 
Command: enable sntp 
 
Success.
