create access_profile packet_content_mask 

Purpose 

To create an access profile on the Switch by examining the Ethernet part of 

the packet header. Masks entered are combined with the values the Switch 

finds in the specified frame header fields. Specific values for the rules are 

entered using the 

config access_profile

 command, below. 

Syntax 

create access_profile ([offset1 <value (0-31)> <hex (0x0-0xffffffff)>] 

[offset2 <value (0-31)> <hex (0x0-0xffffffff)>] [offset3 <value (0-31)> <hex 

(0x0-0xffffffff)>] [offset4 <value (0-31)> <hex (0x0-0xffffffff)>]) profile_id 

<value (1-150)> 

Description  The 

create access_profile 

command creates a profile for packets that may 

be accepted or denied by the Switch by examining the Ethernet part of the 

packet header. Specific values for rules pertaining to the Ethernet part of the 

packet header may be defined by configuring the 

config access_profile 

command for Ethernet, as stated below. 

Parameters 

packet_content_mask – 

Specifies the frame content mask.

[offset1 | offset2 | offset3 | offset4] – 

Specifies the mask pattern offset of 

frame. 

profile_id <value 1-150> – 

Specifies an index number between 1 and 50 that 

identifies the access profile being created with this command. The maximum 

entries for profile ID is 150. 
 
The following table indicates the precise location of packet content user 

looking for. For example:
