Grease filter

As with all Gaggenau ventilation 
hoods, the air containing grease 
and odour par ticles first passes 
through a grea se filter, which 
removes up to 9 5 per cent of 
the grea se from the air. This 
prevents any deposits forming 
on the inside of the hood or 
ventilation pipes.

Rim ex trac tion filter: The 
full - width mesh filter with its 
integrated cover ensures a quiet 
look as well as quiet operation. 
The grease separation of 9 0 to 
95 per cent is equivalent to that 
of a mesh filter. The noise level 
is, however, around three dB 
quieter, and the optimised rim 
design reduces condensation. 
The filter can be removed a s 
a unit using the invisible push -
to - unlock system with safet y 
catch and can be cleaned in the 
dishwasher.

Stainless s teel grease filter: 
The filter can be easily removed 
for cleaning in the dishwasher.

Grease filter in front of hot 
air fan

The fumes which occur during 
baking and fr ying are caught by 
a removable grease filter, which 
can be cleaned simply and easi -
ly in the dishwasher. For ovens 
with the pyroly tic system, no 
filter is necessar y since dir t in 
the area around the hot air fan 
can be removed by pyrolysis.

Grease filter saturation 
indicator

A signal on the control panel 
reminds you that the grease fil -
ter needs to be cleaned. Soiled 

filters are not as ef fective and 
increase the noise level of the 
ventilation system.

Grinding unit

Freshly ground cof fee beans 
are the essential star ting point 
for tast y cof fee or espresso. 
The grinding unit ensures a 
per fect grain size distribution 
and thus makes possible the 
per fect aroma . The grinding 
level can be individually set in 
four steps from fine to coarse. 
Thanks to its double - wall encap -
sulated bean container, it is 
ex tremely quiet in operation.

Halogen lighting

For ex tra bright, clear light in 
the oven interior. Each phase 
during the baking, roasting or 
steaming procedure can be 
monitored with glare -free light.

Heat exchanger

During the dishwasher’s dr ying 
cycle, the hot steam condenses 
in the form of droplets on the 
sides of the heat exchanger – 
which is filled with cold water – 
and the water then runs of f. The 
heat exchanger exploits the 
residual heat for dr ying purpos -
es by siphoning of f the water 
into a container on the side. 
Compared to conventional 
appliances, this procedure 
reduces energy consumption 
by 15 per cent and results in 
hygienic dr ying without any 
additional energy or an ex ternal 
air supply. 

Humidor.

 Here you can store and mature expensive cigars 

at the right humidit y and ambient temperature.

Ice and water dispenser.

 Glasses and large jugs can be filled up 

with ice cubes, crushed ice or cooled drinking water while the 
door is closed.
