Each time before starting work, check
the oil level and replenish saw chain oil
if necessary.

Comply with working tim e regulations in force
in your country.

Grip the rear saw grip firmly with y ou r right
hand (right-handed operator) and the front
grip with y ou r left hand, and hold them tightly.

Do not release the grips for as long as the
m otor is running.

Before takin g the chain saw into operation,
hook the extension cable into strain relief
(13).

Release the chain brake each time be
fore switching on the chain saw.
1. Press and hold locking button (14/1) with your
thumb.
2. Press and hold on /off switch (14/2).
It is not necessary to keep the locking
button pressed once the chain saw has
started. It is intended to prevent inadver-
tent starting o f the chain saw.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The chain saw com plies with all relevant safety
standards. Repairs are only allowed to be perfor-
med by qualified specialists, and with the exclu-
sive use o f genuine spare parts.
■ A fter each use, check the chain saw for w ear
and renew any damaged components.

Do not get the machine wet or expose it to
moisture.
■
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
■
Only use spare parts specified by the manu-
facturer.

Touching live parts represents an imme-

W ear protective gloves and disconnect
the machine from the mains before all
maintenance and care jobs.

Sharp edges can cause serious lacerati-
ons!
W ear suitable safety gloves when
resharpening the saw chain.
Inexperienced chain saw operators are
recommended to have the saw chain
sharpened by a specia list at the corre-
sponding custom er service.
To achieve an optimum cutting result, it is ne-
cessary for the saw chain to be resharpened at
regular intervals.
