Only specialist personnel are allowed to saw
trunks that are thic ker than the length o f the
chain bar.
■
Never carry and transport the chain saw with
the saw chain running.
■ When changing position, switch o ff the motor
and put on the chain guard.
■
Only use the mains cable for the designated
purpose.
■
Never lift or carry the chain saw with the
mains cable.
■
Do not pull the mains cable in order to pull the
mains plug out o f the socket.
■
Protect the mains cable against damage and
dirt.
■
Only transport the chain saw by carrying it
with the handle - the chain bar must point
backwards during transport.
■ When chain saws are not in use, always put
on the chain guard and disconnect from the
mains.
■
Route the extension cable so that it cannot
become snagged during sawing.
■
Immediately switch o ff the chain saw and dis
connect it from the mains if you notice any
changes.
■ Alw ays keep a first-aid kit to hand in case o f
accidents.
■
Make sure that no saw chain oil gets onto the
ground.
■
Switch the chain saw o ff before putting it
down.
■
Determine the maximum handling period and
set breaks in the w ork according to the vibra-
tion value.

DANGER!
Danger o f fatal injury due to kickback!
Kickback can lead to fatal injuries!
Take measures to avoid kickback.
If kickback occurs, the chain saw is suddenly and
uncontrollably flung back towards the operator.
This situation arises in particular if the chain saw
encounters foreign bodies during work, or during
sawing with the tip o f the chain bar.
Note the following points in order to avoid kick-
back:

Inspect the material to be sawn for foreign bo-
dies (nails, metal, etc.) and remove them.
■
Only operate the chain saw with both hands.
■
Do not remove the chain saw from the cut un-
less the saw chain is running.
■
Do not bend too far forward when working
with the chain saw.
■
Never cut o ff several branches at once.
■
Do not w ork unless the saw chain is correctly
sharpened and tensioned.
■
Never operate the chain saw with outstret-
ched arms.
■
Start the cut with the saw chain running, and
only saw at full speed.
■
Do not saw with the tip o f the chain bar.
■ A lw ays keep the tip o f the chain bar in sight.
■ W ork with increased caution when continuing
cuts that have already been started.
■ W ork with increased caution when cutting un-
dergrowth and young trees.
■
Do not saw when standing on a ladder or
above shoulder height.
■
Use the bum per spike for increased stability
when sawing.
■
Make sure you are standing securely when
sawing.
■
Chiefly saw with the underside o f the bar.
W ork with increased caution when sawing
with the top o f the bar.
