ADJUSTMENT OF IDLE SPEED

When it is necessary to adjust the idle speed, perform it by the carburetor adjusting screwέ

CHECKUP OF IDδE SPEED

Set the idle speed to γ,ίίί min

If it is necessary to change the idle speed, use a phillips head screw driver on 

the screw illustrated on the rightέ

●

To increase the idle speed, turn the adjusting screw clockwiseέ 

To reduce the idle speed, turn the adjusting screw counterclockwiseέ

●

The carburetor is factory adjustedέ ώowever, after several use the idle speed 

need to be reάadjustedέ

STOPPING

1)  Release the throttle lever (β) fully, and when the engine rpm has lowered, set 

the Iάτ switch (1) to STτP the engine will now stopέ

β)  The cutting tool continues to rotate a while after stopping the engineέ Wait until 

it stops completelyέ

PREVENTION FROM CARBURETOR ICING

 CAUTIONμ 

●

When  environmental  temperature  is  higher  than  1ί°C,  always  return 

the  shutter  to  normal  (sun  mark)  settingέ  τtherwise  the  engine  may  be 

damaged by overheatingέ

When  the  environmental  temperature  is  low  and  humidity  is  high,  water  vapor 

may  freeze  inside  the  carburetor  and  the  engine  drives  unsteadily  (carburetor 

icing)έ Change the setting of the shutter as follows if necessaryέ
1έ  Remove the screw (1)έ 
βέ  Change the direction of the shutter (β) as followsμ

Environment  temperature  is  higher  than  1ί°Cμ  Set  the  shutter  in  normal 

position (sun mark)έ 

●

Environment  temperature  is  equal  or  lower  than  1ί°Cμ  Set  the  shutter  in 

antiάicing position (snow mark)έ 

γέ  Tighten the screwέ
