●

Do not pull the throttle lever unnecessarily when the engine is not runningέ It may cause looding of fuel in the engine, and may cause the 

engine dificult to start upέ 

●

In case of looding of the fuel, remove the spark plug and pull the starter handle slowly to remove excess fuelέ Also, dry the electrode section 

of the spark plugέ

●

If the engine ires and stops, or stops soon after starting, return the choke lever to the τPEσ position, and pull the starter knob a few times 

again to start the engineέ

●

If the choke lever is left in the CδτSE position, and the starter knob merely pulled repeatedly, too much fuel will be sucked in, and the engine 

will become dificult to startέ

●

Do not race the engine in warmάup operation unnecessarilyέ

Bμ Warm start

1)  Keep the choke lever full openέ 
β)  Push the primer pump repeatedlyέ 
γ)  Keep the throttle lever at the idling positionέ 
ζ)  Pull the starter knob stronglyέ 

You can also restart the engine while carrying the tool on your backέ 

 CAUTIONμ

●

εake sure that the cutting tool is not touching while restartingέ 

●

Do  not  pull  the  throttle  lever  when  restartingέ  τtherwise  the  cutting  tool 

starts rotatingέ

ώold the handle with your right hand, and pull the starter knob stronglyέ

η)  Recoil starter

εake sure you have a irm footingέ

ώold the unit with your left hand and press it down irmlyέ 

CAUTIONμ

●

Do  not  stand  or  kneel  on  the  throttle  cableέ  The  internal  wire  may 

be  pulled  and  the  cutting  tool  may  start  rotating  unintentionallyέ 

Do not open the throttleέ 

Pull the starter knob gently until a certain resistance is feltέ Then, return the 

starter knob, and pull it stronglyέ
σever pull the rope to the full extensionέ τnce the starter knob is pulled, never 

release  your  hand  immediatelyέ  ώold  the  starter  knob  until  it  returns  to  its 

original pointέ

θ)  Choke lever

τnce engine starts, set choke lever to the τPEσ positionέ

●

τpen  the  choke  lever  gradually  while  checking  the  engine  operationέ  Be 

sure to open the choke lever to the full in the endέ 

●

In  cold  or  when  the  engine  is  cooled  down,  never  open  the  choke  lever 

suddenlyέ τtherwise the engine may stopέ 

ι)  Warmάup operation

Continue warmάup operation for β to γ minutesέ 

NOTICEμ 

●

Do not pull the throttle lever unnecessarily while the engine is not 

running.

 It may cause fuel leak from the air cleanerέ If it happens, wipe 

leaked fuel offέ Also, open the air cleaner cover and clean the element 

and the air cleaner plateέ
