CAUTION:
BEFORE USING THE DEVICE READ THIS MANUAL
CAREFULLY AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
DETAILED SAFET Y REGULATIONS
P R OT E C T I O N AG A I N S T B U R N S:
• Always wear protective clothes, protective footwear and
welding gloves when welding.
• Use welding helmet with protective glass and correct
filter to protect face against effects of electric arc.
NEVER
use cracked or broken helmet, because arc radiation may get
through the damaged spot and cause skin burns on the face.
• REPLACE CRACKED HELMET VISOR IMMEDIATELY.
• Warn bystanders nearby not to look at electric arc.
Radiation
produced at electric welding can cause many serious injuries,
such as cataract originated due to eyeball overheating,
inflammator y condition in cornea and conjunctiva, lesions in
retina and eye fundus.
•
When welding, do not wear clothes dir ty with oil or grease,
they can catch fire from sparks.
•
Never touch hot metal objects with bare hands, such as tip
of the electrode or hot metal par ts just after the welding is
finished.
PROTECTION AGAINST HARMFUL VAPOURS:
• Harmful gases and vapours produced during electric
welding may cause serious health hazards.
Always work in
an open room to protect your health. Working in a closed room
is allowable, provided that there is efficient ventilation and
air extraction to remove harmful gases and vapours released
during welding.
PROTEC TION FROM FIRE AND EXPLOSION:
•
Whenever electric arc, projected sparks or hot drops of
material may contact flammable substance, there is a risk of
fire and/or explosion. Projected sparks or splatters of melted
material may get through gaps or cracks, along pipe ducts,
through windows and doors and slits in walls or floor.
•
To prevent fire or explosion
always keep the welder clean and
ready for use. NEVER star t welding in proximity of explosion
hazardous materials. Keep safe distance from flammable
materials and keep fire extinguisher near your workplace.
When the welding is finished always check there are no
glowing sparks or pieces of hot material remaining in the
workplace.
E X P LO S I O N H A Z A R D O U S E N V I R O N M E N T:
•
Never attempt welding, when air may contain par ticles of
flammable material, flammable gas or vapours, such as petrol
or solvents.
E L E C T R I C S H O C K P R OT E C T I O N:
•
Touching non-insulated electric wires or bare metal pieces
within electric welding circuit may cause fatal electric shock.
•
NEVER touch damp sur faces with bare hands when welding.
•
Keep your body and clothes dr y when welding. Never star t
welding in damp environment without proper electric shock
protection.
•
When the welder is switched on, never touch electrode or any
conducting metal par t in contact with welding circuit.
•
Do not use working wires with damaged insulation. Damaged
insulation on wires may cause electric shock.
•
Do not use the tool with its case removed.
•
Never put the electrode in water to cool it down.
•
Connect the device only to electrical system equipped with
residual current device.
WELDING TO RCHES:
• Use only insulated welding torches for electrodes.
When
the welding is finished, remove electrode from the welding
torch. Do not use torches with protruding mount screws.
T E R M I N A L S:
•
Use only insulated terminals to connect welding cables.
C A B L E S:
•
Frequently check cables against abrasions, cuts and other
damages.
REPLACE IMMEDIATELY
all cables with damaged or
worn out insulation to avoid risk of electric shock.
P R OT E C T I O N S YS T E M S:
•
Never disconnect or disassemble systems that protect against
leakage current or overheating. Prior star ting to install,
check or repair the welding machine, disconnect the device
from power supply network, so accidental switching on is
impossible. Always disconnect the welding machine from
power supply before leaving it unattended.
S A F E T Y I N F O R M AT I O N F O R P E R S O N S W I T H PAC E M A K E R S:
• Electromagnetic field produced with welding current may
be dangerous for persons with pacemakers.
Pacemaker
users shall consult physician to check if they can stay close to
arc or spot welding machines.
WA R N I N G
All electric par ts of the welder have been covered with protective
resin. Therefore visible smoke may appear during first few minutes
after the welder is switched on. This will disappear after few minutes
and does not indicate faulty operation.
WA R N I N G
The device is designed for indoor operation,
protect from
moisture.
MAINTENANCE
• Before maintenance or spare par ts replacement disconnect
the device from electric power supply.
Make sure the device
is disconnected from power supply and its components are
not hot, only then you can star t maintenance and replace the
spare par ts.
P LU G CO N N E C T I O N D I AG R A M
56H811 welder is equipped with original 16 A plug. 56H812 and
56H813 welders may take current that exceeds 16 A, therefore use of
plugs designed for higher currents is necessary. Depending on the
device, consumed current is specified on the rating plate. In case of
permanent connection of the welder and the electric system, make
sure the system can withstand maximum current of the welder.
