[Device Settings] Sheet
You can configure device option settings such as a configuration profile that matches your device and
administrator settings.
When you set a configuration profile, optimal values for the device are automatically set for each item. For
details, see the following link.
About Configuration Profile Type Settings(P. 92)
Depending on the driver you are using, you may not be able to set some of the functions described herein.
[Device Information]
Displays whether the device status is set automatically or manually. When acquiring the device information and
applying it to the settings in the [Device Settings] sheet, click [
] (Retrieve Device Status Information).
NOTE
●
If you select [On] from [Other Settings] > [Change Configuration Profile When Retrieving Device Information]
in the [Detailed Settings] dialog box, the configuration profile is automatically changed according to the
retrieved device information.
[Config. Profile]
Displays the applied configuration profile.
[Change] > [Change Configuration Profile] Dialog Box
Enables you to change or import a configuration profile.
[Select Configuration Profile]
[Select Configuration Profile Suitable for Your Device Automatically]
Sets the configuration profile suitable for the printer model you are using.
[Select Manually]
Enables you to manually set a configuration profile.
[
] (Import Configuration Profile)
Imports an exported configuration profile file (*.typ).
[
] (Delete)
Deletes the imported configuration profile selected from [Configuration Profile].
[Retrieve Device Information]
Acquires the device information and applies it to the settings in the [Device Settings] sheet.
NOTE

If device information cannot be acquired, manually set a configuration profile that matches the name of the
printer model.
●
If you cannot properly set items displayed in the [Device Settings] sheet even after applying a configuration
profile that matches the name of the printer model, you can apply the function and option information
corresponding to the device by setting a configuration profile type.
