Secure Print Function
This explains an overview of the Access Management System and Encrypted Secure Print, as well as an
explanation of supported languages.
For an explanation of how to use the Access Management System and Encrypted Secure Print functions of the
device, refer to the manuals of the device.
AMS (Access Management System)
This refers to the "Access Management System Printer Driver Add-in."
It is sometimes referred to as AMS in this manual.
AMS is a function for retrieving user printing restriction information previously set by the administrator, and
enabling print output according to those restrictions.
In this manual, server authentication (Active Directory) or domain authentication is referred to as "Active
Directory Authentication."
Encrypted Secure Print
This refers to the "Encrypted Secure Print Driver Add-in for Client PC."
It is a function that strengthens security by encrypting print data when printing from a computer.
Using this function for printing enables you to prevent information leaks by outputting documents without
allowing the print data to be seen by other users.
By setting a password on a computer and printing from an application, the print data is encrypted using that
password and retained in the device. The document can then be decrypted and printed by entering the
password at the device.
Supported Languages
The following driver display languages are supported with the Access Management System and the Encrypted
Secure Print function.
English / Japanese / French / German / Italian / Spanish / Chinese (Simplified) / Korean / Chinese (Traditional)
When the Access Management System is enabled, the driver display language is limited to one of the above
languages.
