Transporting the appliance
•
Carefully store the packaging material of the espresso machine for possible
future use, e.g. for transporting the appliance.
•
Check that you have drained all water from the espresso machine before
transporting it. In this way you will prevent possible damage to the espresso
machine.
•
Empty water from the internal lines of the espresso machine and wipe the
entire appliance inside and out.
•
If you empty water from the internal lines of the espresso machine, the next
time it is started, the entire system will be set to the state prior to fi rst use (see
page 9, Using for the fi rst time).

When draining water from the internal lines of the espresso machine, hot
steam may come out of the coffee spout. So be especially careful, there is
a risk of scalding.
Make sure that the message «READY» is lit on the display of the espresso
machine.
Remove the water tank; the display will show the message «FILL WATER
TANK».
Press and hold the clean button until the message «EMPTY UNIT» is shown
on the display. The espresso machine will automatically start draining
water from the internal lines and water will come out of the coffee spout.
• After draining the internal lines, the espresso machine will turn off
automatically.
After turning off the espresso machine, take out the drip tray and pour the
water out of it.
