Use the turn dial to set the value «DESCALE» on the display; confi rm the
selection by pressing the dial button.
Now, press the clean button to start the descaling process, which will
take approximately 30 minutes.
Do not forget to empty the drip tray before starting the descaling and
cleaning process. Water may drip into it during the descaling and
cleaning process.
Dissolve the descaling agent according to the instructions in a suffi cient
amount of water, pour it into the water tank and return the full tank back
into the espresso machine.
After adding the descaling agent, press the clean button and start the descaling
and cleaning process.
When the descaling and cleaning process is started for the fi rst time, place
a container of at least 1 litre in volume under the coffee spout.
After the end of the fi rst descaling and cleaning process, remove the water
tank, pour the remaining water out of it and clean it. Now fi ll the water tank
with drinking water and insert it back into the espresso machine.
Press the clean button again to start the second phase of the descaling and
cleaning process. This time, the remains of the limescale remains of the
descaling agents will be removed from the internal lines of the espresso
machine. Place a container of at least 1 litre in volume under the coffee spout.
