Возьмите лёгкую и мягкую ткань, как батист

предполагаемой ширины.
Установите длину стежка на «4» и ослабьте 
натяжение игольной нити до «1». Прострочите 
прямым стежком параллельные линии на 1 см друг
от друга поперёк всей области присбаривания.

Завяжите узлы на одном из краёв. С другого 
края вытяните шпульные нити и равномерно 
распределите сборки. Закрепите нити.
Установите первоначальное значение натяжения 
нити.

Прострочите декоративные строчки между рядами

По окончании работы распустите стежки сборок.

Increase the stitch length to “4” and loosen 

thread tension to “1”. Sew rows of straight 

stitches 3/8˝ (1 cm) apart across the area to 

be smocked.

  Knot the threads along one end. From 

the other end, pull the bobbin threads to 

distribute gathers evenly and secure the 

threads.
