DETAILED SAFET Y REGULATIONS
SPECIFIC REGULATIONS REGARDING SAFE USE OF
DRILL
• Use ear protectors and safety goggles when
operating drill.
Exposure to noise may cause hearing loss.
Metal dust and other par ticles floating in the air may cause
permanent eye injur y.
• Use additional handles supplied with the tool.
Loss of
control may cause operator personal injur y.
• When carrying out tasks when work tool can hit
hidden electric wires, hold the tool by insulated
areas of the handle.
Contact with power supply line may
transfer voltage to metal par ts of the tool and cause electric
shock.
ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SAFE DRILL OPERATION
•
Use only recommended batter y and charger.
•
Always keep the batter y away from sources of fire. Do
not leave the batter y for a long time in high temperature
(in direct sunlight, in proximity of heaters and wherever
the temperature exceeds 50
o
C).
•
Batter y charging process should be super vised by the
user.
•
Avoid charging the batter y in temperature lower than
0
o
C.
•
Charger supplied with the drill is designed for operation
with this product only. Do not use it for other purposes.
•
Do not put any metal objects into the charger.
•
Do not change direction of spindle rotation when the
tool is operating. Other wise drill may be damaged.
•
Use soft, dr y cloth to clean the drill. Never use detergents
or alcohol.
•
Disconnect charger from power supply before cleaning.
•
If you intend to charge more than one batter y
successively, make a 30 minute break between charges.
SPECIAL SAFET Y CONDITIONS FOR CHARGER
OPERATION
•
This equipment is not intended for use by persons
with restricted physical, sensor y or mental capabilities
(including children) or persons who have no experience
or are unfamiliar with the equipment, unless work is
super vised or carried out in accordance with equipment
use instructions handed over by persons responsible for
safety.
•
Pay attention to children so they don' t play with the
equipment.
•
Check condition of charger, cable and plug before each
use. Do not use the charger if it is damaged.
•
Keep this manual. It contains impor tant drill use and
safety instructions.
•
Before using the charger, read all relevant information
contained within this manual, see markings on the
charger and the product it is designed for.
•
To reduce the risk of potential body injur y use the
GB
charger for charging Ni-Zn batteries only. Other type
batteries may explode and cause personal injur y or
material damages.
•
Do not expose the charger to humidity or water.
•
Use of any connecting elements not supplied or not
recommended by the manufacturer of the charger may
cause fire, personal injur y or electric shock.
•
Make sure the power cord is not located in a pathway,
is not exposed to treading or other danger (e.g. strong
tension).
•
Do not use extension cord unless absolutely necessar y.
Use of improper extension cord may cause fire or electric
shock. If it is necessar y to use extension cord, first make
sure that:

Extension cord socket matches plug prongs of the
original charger power cord.
–
Extension cord is in good technical condition.
•
Do not use the charger with damaged cord or plug.
Damage should be repaired by a qualified person.
•
Do not use the charger after it has been hit, dropped or
other wise damaged. Entrust the testing and potential
repair to authorized ser vice workshop.
•
Do not tr y to dismantle the charger. All repairs should
be made by an authorized ser vice workshop. Improper
charger assembly may cause electric shock or fire.
•
Disconnect the charger from power supply before
star ting any maintenance or cleaning.
•
In case of batter y damage or improper use it may
produce gas. Ventilate room and seek medical attention
in case of medical symptoms.
•
Keep the charger clean. Dir t can be the cause of electric
shock.
•
Do not use charger when placed on flammable sur face
(e.g. paper, textiles) or in proximity of flammable
substance. Greater charger temperature when charging
increases risk of fire.
When the charger is not in use, it should be
disconnected from mains network.
CAUTION! This device is designed to operate indoors.
The design is assumed to be safe, protection measures
and additional safety systems are used, never theless
there is always a small risk of injuries at work.
Ni-Zn batteries may set on fire or explode when heated
to high temperature or shor t-circuited. Do not store
the batteries in a car in hot and sunny days. Do not
open the battery.
