To  avoid  interruptions  to  vacuuming,  empty  the  waste  water 

tank  once  one  entire  fill  of  cleaning  agent  has  been  applied 

from the clean water tank.

 If  this  not  done,  the  float  in  the  waste  water  tank  will 

automatically  interrupt  vacuuming  when  the  waste  water  tank 

is full (significantly higher speed of motor becomes audible).

      Switch  off  appliance,  pull  out  the  mains  plug  and  empty  the 

dirty water tank.

Hard floor cleaning

Push the hard flooring adapter into the carpet spray nozzle.
Using this system, you can clean and dry your hard flooring and in the 

same workstep.

Never  wet  clean  parquet  or  laminate  floors.  Note  that, 

for  damp  cleaning  of  floor  coverings,  the  care  instruc-

tions  of  the  flooring  manufacturers  must  be  observed  at 

all times.

 Vaccuming liquids

   With  the  THOMAS  TWIN  you  can  vacuum  up  any  spilt  fluids 

with a water basis (e.g. water, coffee etc.) providing these are 

non-hazardous.

Remove the filter bag system from the appliance.

    Insert the anti-sloshing insert into the waste water tank.

Insert  the  anti-sloshing  insert  and  waste  water  tank  into  the 

appliance. Make sure that the wet filter (12a) is inserted.

Select  a  suitable  nozzle  and  insert  this  onto  the  suction  tube  or  the 

handle.

   The  float  in  the  waste  water  tank  automatically  interrupts 

vacuuming when the waste water tank is full (significantly higher 

speed of motor becomes audible).

      Switch  off  appliance,  pull  out  the  mains  plug  and  empty  the 

dirty water tank.

Cleaning and care

Only ever perform maintenance or cleaning work when the appliance 

is switched off and with the mains plug removed.

After spray extraction / vaccuming of fluids

 To  care  for  the  appliance  housing,  please  use  a  damp,  soft 

cloth.

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents.

Remove clean water tank and empty it.

Drain the waste water tank.

Clean  the  anti-sloshing  insert,  waste  water  tank  and  wet  filter 

using clear, if possible, warm water.

Always keep the float (12b) in the waste water tank clean so it 

can  move.  It  interrupts  vacuuming  when  the  waste  water  tank 

is full.

Dry  any  splashed  water  in  the  suction  chamber  using  a  soft 

cloth.

Remove  any  dirt  on  the  suction  port  and  on  the  inside  of  the 

housing cover.

The  housing  cover  can  be  removed  from  the  appliance  for 

gentle cleaning.

To  do  this  open  the  cover  and  pivot  it  up  vertically.  Push  the 

cover forwards until this slides out of its hinge. Subsequently lift 

the cover upwards and out.

To fasten the housing cover, insert it vertically and close it. The 

cover will engage automatically in the hinge.

For  care  of  the  pump  and  the  valves,  fill  the  clean 

water tank with clear water and start up the spray 

system  e.g.  over  a  sink  (actuate  the  lever  on  the 

shut-off valve).

Actuate  the  lever  of  the  shut-off  valve  to  reduce  the  residual 

pressure in the system.

After  cleaning,  allow  the  appliance  and  attachments  to  dry 

completely.

Changing the MKA microfilter (exhaust filter on rear of 

appliance)

The MKA microfilter (16) should be replaced every six months.
To do this, press the two plastic lugs down on the exhaust cover and 

fold away the blow off cover.
Replace the MKA microfilter. Close the exhaust cover again.
