spray  extraction  cleaner  for  carpets,  hard  flooring  and 

upholstery.
In  purchasing  your  new  THOMAS  TWIN,  you  have  opt-

ed  for  an  exclusive  product  that  sets  new  standards  in 

household cleaning.

It  is  an  extraordinary  vacuum  cleaner  with  superior  technology  that 

makes  cleaning  of  various  surfaces  such  as  hard  flooring,  carpet  or 

upholstery easier and more thorough than ever before.
Used  as  a  vacuum  cleaner,  it  is  ideal  for  the  removal  of  dry  dirt  and 

dust  and  during  we  vacuuming  well  as  the  wet  vacuuming  of  water-

based liquids. However, it really comes into its own when used as an 

extraction  cleaner  for  the  intensive  cleaning  of  carpets,  hard  flooring 

(tiles, PVC).
Please  read  the  user  manual  carefully  so  that  you  quickly  become 

familiar with the appliance in order to take full advantage of its versa-

 Before initial commissioning

Please  read  through  the  information  below  carefully.  It 

provides  important  information  on  the  safety,  use  and 

maintenance  of  the  appliance.  Store  the  user  manual 

safely and pass it on to any future owners.

Safety instructions

  THE THOMAS TWIN is designed solely for domestic purposes.

c

  Do not operate the appliance under any circumstances if:

  – the power cord is damaged
  – the appliance is visibly damaged
  – the appliance is dropped.

c

  The  voltage  specified  on  the  nameplate  must  match  the  mains 

supply voltage. The nameplate is located on the underside of the 

appliance.

c

  Only  connect  the  appliance  to  a  power  socket  with  a  16A 

automatic circuit breaker.

c

  Never use the appliance in areas where flammable materials are 

stored or gases have formed.

c

  Never leave the appliance switched on and running unattended.

c

  Particular  caution  is  required  when  cleaning  stairs  on  staircases. 

Make  sure  that  the  appliance  is  positioned  securely  on  the  stair’s 

surface and ensure that the hose is not tensioned beyond its exist-

ing length. 

Never place the appliance in an upright posi-

tion during operation.

  Never point the cleaning jet at people or animals, nor at electrical 

sockets or appliances.

c

  This appliance can be used by 

children

 of 8 years 

or  above,  as  well  as  by  persons  with  impaired 

physical,  sensory  or  mental  capacities,  or  a  lack 

of  experience  and  /or  knowledge,  as  long  as  they 

are supervised or have been instructed on using the 

appliance safely, and are aware of the dangers. Do 

not allow

 children to play with the appliance.

Do  not  use  the  TWIN  for  dry  vacuuming  if  the  filter 

system is not installed in accordance with the operating 

instructions. This could damage the appliance.

  Nozzles and tubes must not be held within range of heads (during 

operation) due to hazards e.g. to eyes and ears.

c

  Never point the cleaning jet at people or animals, nor at electrical 

sockets or appliances.

c

  Persons  with  sensitive  skin  should  avoid  direct  contact  with  the 

cleaning  solution.  In  case  of  contact  with  mucous  membranes 

(eyes, mouth etc.), rinse immediately using plenty of water.

Caution!

  This  appliance  model  is  not  suitable  for  vacuuming  of 

substances hazardous to the health and fluids containing solvents 

e.g: paint thinners, oil, petrol and corrosive fluids.

c

Never vacuum fine dusts such as toner or soot to avoid 

impairing  the  filtering  performance  of  the  appliance 

and prevent any damage.

c

  Following  wet/moist  operation,  empty  all  tanks.  Ensure  chemical 

substances  (cleaners  for  carpeted  or  hard  floors)  are  kept  out  of 

reach of children.

c

  Efficient  cleaning  and  the  function  of  the  appliance  can  only  be 

guaranteed if you use genuine THOMAS cleaning agent.

c

Prior  to  cleaning/maintenance/filling/emptying  as 

well as in case of malfunctions, switch all switches off 

and remove the mains plug.

c

  Do  not  leave  the  appliance  outside  in  the  open  air,  expose  it 

directly  to  moisture  or  immerse  it  in  liquids  and  never  store  in  the 

immediate vicinity of heating devices.

Store  the  appliance  and  its  attachments  in  a  dry,  clean  and 

enclosed space.

c

  Never  repair  damage  to  the  THOMAS  TWIN,  its  attachments 

or  mains  connection  cable  (special  cable  required)  on  your  own 

initiative  but  rather  always  have  it  repaired  by  an  authorised 

customer  service  point  since  modifications  to  the  appliance  can 

be harmful to health. Make sure that only genuine spare parts and 

attachments are used.

  The  manufacturer  accepts  no  liability  for  any  damage  due  to 

incorrect operation or use other than that for which it was designed.

  Never unplug the appliance from the socket by pulling on the cord. 

Always pull on the plug.

  Make  sure  that  the  mains  connection  is  exposed  neither  to  heat 

nor chemical substances and is not dragged over sharp edges or 

surfaces.
