SVC Light

This option allows you to select whether of not the
service light on the top of the phone is used.
The following options are available.
OFF
: the service light is not used.
ON
: the service light flashes when the phone is ready
for use.
Set Time

The option enables you to set the current date and time.
Enter the date and time.
The current time, if set, displays. The month, day, hour
and minute must be entered with 2 digits. The year
requires all four digits.
If you do not input the time or you input the wrong time,
INVALID TIME
displays and the phone prompts you to
enter again.

: You must enter the time in 24-hour format.

Set Nam

Your Samsung phone can store two NAMs (NAM stands
for
N
umerical
A
ssignment
M
odule - essentially your
telephone number). This means you can have two phone
numbers on your phone, and you can quickly and easily
switch your service back and forth between the two
numbers.
Press or to select
NAM-1
or
NAM-2
and
then press . If you change the NAM, the phone will
reboot and acquire service using the new NAM setting.
Data/Fax
Menu 7-9
Your phone is capable of receiving digital data and fax
call when connected to a computing device (such as
laptop, desktop, hand held, palmtop, etc.) running
Windows NT, Windows 95 or later using the optional
data/fax kit. The phone functions just like a typical
modem on your PC. For further information on this
feature, refer to the data kit manual.
To receive data or fax through the phone, you have to
set this option to
Incoming Data Only
or
Incoming
Fax Only
. When you want to use the phone for a
normal voice call, set to
Off: Voice Call Only
.
The following options are available:
Off: Voice Call Only
: receives voice calls only.
Incoming Data Only
: receives data calls only.
Incoming Fax Only
: receives fax calls only.
