Cleaner does not come up to
pressure
n
Check the operating speed of the engine
(see Technical Specifications). Adjustments
may only be made by Customer Service.

Set nozzle to “high pressure”.
n
Clean/replace nozzle.
n
Evacuate air from the cleaner
(see Operation).
n
Clean strainer at the water connection.
n
Check water inlet volume (see Technical
Specifications).
n
Check all supply lines to the pump for leaks
or obstructions.
Pump is leaky
n
3 drops per minute are allowable. Seek the
help of Customer Service if leaks are more
serious.
Detergent is not being drawn in
n
Set nozzle to “low pressure”.
n
Clean the filter and the suction hose for de-
tergent.
n
Clean the non-return valve on the pump
head and connection of the detergent suc-
tion hose.
n
Check all detergent suction hoses and con-
nections for leaks.
HD 1040 B Cage, HD 1050 B Cage,
HD 1050 DE Cage only:

Check detergent metering valve for leaks
or blockages and/or clean.

Safety features
Overflow valve
When the handgun is closed, the overflow val-
ve opens and the high-pressure pump con-
veys the water back to the pump suction side.
This prevents the permitted operating pressu-
re from being exceeded.
The overflow valve is sealed. The settings
must not be changed.
Accessories
It is dangerous to use incorrect, unsuitable or
defective accessories which will impair the
function of the unit.
Therefore, only original accessories should
be used. Please consult your dealer.
Spare parts
Please remember that the use of spare parts
which are not original parts may cause mal-
functions and/or result in serious accidents, or
operation of the unit may be hazardous if these
parts have not been correctly constructed or
the defective component is not replaced cor-
rectly.
