Operating with detergent
n
Hang the detergent suction hose in
a container of detergent.
n
Set nozzle to

Set the detergent metering valve to the
desired concentration.

Use detergents sparingly out of considera-
tion for the environment. Proportions of de-
tergent to be used and accompanying in-
structions should be noted carefully.
n
Our individual offer of detergents and pre-
servatives guarantees problem-free operati-
on. Please seek advice or ask for
our catalogue of information sheets on cle-
aning agents. Use only detergents which
have been released by the manufacturer of
the unit. Unsuitable detergents may harm
the operator and the object which is to be
cleaned.

We recommend the following cleaning me-
thod:
Step 1:
Loosen dirt.
Spray on detergent sparingly and leave to re-
act for 1 – 5 minutes.
Step 2:
Remove dirt.
Spray off (rinse off) the loosened dirt using the
high-pressure spray.
n
After operating the unit with detergent, set
the detergent metering valve to “0” and,
with the handgun open, flush out the unit
for approx. 1 minute.
Interrupting the operation
HD 801 B Cage, HD 1040 B Cage:
n
If you release the lever of the hand-held
spray gun, the engine continues running
at operating speed. The water circulates
within the pump and is heated. If the cylin-
der head on the pump reaches the maxi-
mum permitted temperature (80 °C), the
safety thermostat on the cylinder head
switches the engine off. When the tempe-
rature of the cylinder head has dropped be-
low 50 °C, the unit can be restarted.
If working with water under pressure from
the water mains, the cooling-down process
can be accelerated: Pull the lever of the
hand-held spray gun for approx.
2 – 3 minutes to allow the flowing water to
cool the cylinder head. Then restart the en-
gine.

When you release the handgun lever, the
speed of the engine and the noise emission
drop.
Switching the cleaner off
n
After operating with saline water (seawater),
open the hand gun and flush the unit with tap
water for at least 2 – 3 minutes.
HD 801 B Cage, HD 1040 B Cage,
HD 1050 B Cage:

Set the interruption switch on the engine to
“OFF” and close the fuel shut-off valve.
HD 1050 DE Cage
n
Pull the engine stop lever until the engine
stops.
n
Turn off the fuel tap.
n
Close the water inlet and screw the water
inlet hose off the unit.
n
Retract lever of the hand-held spray gun
until the cleaner is without pressure.
n
Safeguard the lever of the hand-held spray
gun with the safety latch to prevent unin-
tentional actuation of the handgun.
