Preparing the cleaner
for use
Unpack the cleaner
n
When unpacking the cleaner, check the
contents of the packaging. If there has
been any damage in transit inform the dea-
ler.
Battery connection
(only for HD 1050 DE Cage)
n
The battery is supplied fully charged.
Mount the accessories
n
Connect the high-pressure hose and spray
lance to the hand-held spray gun.
n
Attach the nozzle to the spray lance with
the notch mark at the top.
n
Tighten the union nut hand-tight.
Checking the oil level in the
high-pressure pump
HD 801 B:
n
Check the oil level on the oil reservoir. Do
not start the unit if the oil level has dropped
below “Min”.
HD 1040, 1050:
n
Check the oil level in the oil reservoir. Do
not start the unit if the oil level has dropped
below the oil inspection glass.
n
Top up the oil to this mark (see Technical
specifications).
Engine
n
Before switching on the engine, read the
operating manual supplied by the engine
manufacturer and follow the safety instruc-
tions in particular.
n
Fill the fuel tank with the stipulated fuel
(see Technical specifications). Do not use
a 2-stroke mixture.
n
Check the oil level of the engine. Do not
start the unit if the oil level has dropped be-
low “Min”. If required, top up with oil.
Water connection
n
For connected loads see Technical Speci-
fications.
n
Connect the supply hose to the unit and
water line.
The supply hose is an optional accessory.
n
Before drawing in water out of an open con-
tainer:
– Set the detergent metering valve to “0”
and the pressure and flow control valve
to “MAX” (not HD 801 B Cage).
– Always use a suction hose with
a suction filter and a diameter of at least
¾
inch.
Caution!
Never draw water out of a drinking
water tank.
Caution!
Do not draw in liquids which contain
solvents, e.g. paint thinners, petrol or oil.
The seals in the unit are not solvent-resistant.
The spray from solvents is highly flammable,
explosive and poisonous! Do not draw in
unfiltered water.
