Considerations Prior to Installation

Preparing Your Computer

Th e moth erb oard c ontain s n ume rou s d elicate e le ctronic c irc uits a nd compon ents whic h c an
become damage d as a result of electro static d ischarge  (ESD).  Thus, p rior to installa tion, please
follow the in stru ction s below:
1. Pleas e turn off the computer and  unplug its power cord.
2. When handling the motherboard , avoid touching a ny metal leads or c onnectors.
3. It is  best to wear an e lectrosta tic disch arge (ESD) cuff whe n handlin g electro nic compo nents

(CPU, RAM).

4. Prio r to installing the electronic co mponents, ple ase have these  items  on top  of an antistatic

pad or with in a electrostatic sh ielding  container.

5. Plea se verify that you the powe r supply is switched off before unp luggin g the p ower su pply

connec tor from the motherb oard.

Installation Notices

1. Prio r to ins tallation, plea se do no t remove the stickers on the motherboa rd.  Th ese stic kers

are required fo r wa rran ty valid atio n.

2. Prior to  the  ins tallation of the  motherb oard or an y h ardware , pleas e first ca refu lly re ad the

info rmation  in the  provided man ual.

3. Before  using the  product, please verify that a ll cables and power connectors  are conne cted.
4. To prevent damage to the motherboard, please do not allow screws to come in contact with

the motherb oard circuit or its compone nts.

5. Please make sure there are no leftover screws or metal components placed on the motherboard

or within the compu ter cas ing.

6. Please do not place  the compute r system on an uneven su rface.
7. Turning o n the computer power during the installation process c an lead to damage to system

compo nents as well as ph ysical ha rm to the user.

8. If you a re un certain a bout  any installatio n ste ps o r have a p roble m related  to the us e of the

product, plea se consu lt a certified computer technic ian.

Instances of Non-Warranty

1. Damage due to natural disast er, accident or human cause.
2. Damage as a r esult of violating the con ditions recommended in the  user manual.
3. Damage du e to improper inst allation.
4. Damage due to use of uncertified components.
5. Damage due to use exceeding  the permitted parameters.
6. Product determined to be an unofficial Gigabyte product.
