Dual Cha nnel DDR
GA-8I865GVM (F)-775 supports the Dual Channel Technology. After operating the Dual Channel Technology,
the bandwidth of M em ory Bus will add doub le up to 6.4GB/s (DDR400).
GA-8I865GVM (F)-775 inclu des 4 DIM M sockets, and each Channel has two DIM M sockets as following:
Channe l A : DDR 1, DDR 2
Channe l B : DDR 3, DDR 4
If you wa nt to o per ate the Dua l Chann el Tech nology, pleas e no te the following explana tio ns d ue to the
lim itation of Inte l chips et spec ifications.
1. Dual channel m em ory cannot be used if one or three DDR m em ory m odules are installed.
2. If two DDR m em o ry m odules are installed (sam e storage capacity), one m ust be added to the
Channel A slot and the other in the Channel B slot in order to u se dual channel m e m ory. Dual
channel m em ory cannot function if both DDR m em ory m odules are installed on the sam e channel.
3. If four DDR m em ory m odules are installed, please use m em ory of the sam e storage capacity in
order to use dual channel m em ory and for BIOS to detect all the DDR m em ory m odules.
We'll strongly recom m end our user to slot two DDR m em ory m odules into the DIM M s with the sam e color in
order for Dual Channel Technolo gy to work.
