tion.

  Am: change the facing of the unit.

Disc compatibility

•  This section introduces basic operations of disc playback.

•  Some DVD & VcD discs consist of different functions that may not be ex-

plained in this instruction manual. You may need to refer to the instruc-

tions that are displayed on the TV screen or jacket or case of the disc.

•  The disc information takes priority in various setting.

•  “INVALID KEY” may appear on the TV screen during operation meaning 

that the selected function is not available with the current chapter of the 

disc.

•  The screens shown are as examples in this instruction manual and may 

differ from the actual screen.

•  For  performance  improvement,  the  On-screen  displays  are  subject  to 

change from time to time without further notice.

Preparations

•  connect the TV to this unit as briefed in chapter 1, turn on the TV and 

select  the  video  input  of  this  unit,  select  the  playback  picture  size  ac-

cording to the aspect ratio of the TV (See U. 1. 2 in this chapter)

•  Select the desired language for the on screen menu if required (See U. 2. 

1 in this chapter)

  If  “ERR  DISc”  appears  on  the  TV  screen,  that  means  the  disc  is  either 

unreadable  due  to  disc  damage  or  iles  that  the  disc  contains  are  not 

compatible with the unit.

To play a disc

1.  Press “Disc” to activate the unit on disc mode.

2.  OPEN|/cLOSE  to  open  the  Disc  compartment,  “OPEN”  is  displayed  on 

both LcD and TV screen, place a disc with the label side facing upward, 

press the disc down the gently to ix the disc center hole to click on the 

axis of the disc compartment, close the compartment by pressing down 

the disc lid irmly until a click sound is heard which conirms the lid be-

ing closed and locked.

3.  “READ” is displayed on both LcD and TV screen represents the disc in-

formation is being processed and the DISc type DVD, VcD, mP3, cD will 

appear on TV screen and LcD display on the unit.

4.  Playback of the irst chapter/ track starts automatically (For DVD or VcD 

disc, only when “Auto Play” is set as “ON”, see “AUTOPLAY”.

5.  A disc menu (for DVDs and some VcDs, depending on the disc) will ap-

pear  on  the  TV  screen,  select  the  features  as  shown  on  the  TV  screen 

by moving cursor up, down, left and right and press “PRE/ENT” “ENTER”
