Troubleshooting

Failure 

Cause 

Solution

The unit can not be switched on

No voltage in the mains socket.

The  power  plug  is  not  completely 
inserted into the socket.

Make sure that the socket is properly 
operating.

Check whether the plug is completely 
inserted into the socket.

Water  leaks  from  the  lower  part  of 
the unit

The water tray is full.

Pour out water from the tray.

Coffee leakage from the filter holder Loose connection of filter and boiler 

gasket,  ground  coffee  got  on  the 
edges of the filter.

Clean the edges of the filter.

Coffee  pours  into  the  cup  for  too 
long or does not pour at all.

The coffee powder is too fine or it is 
tamped too strongly in the filter.

Use  ground  coffee  for  „espresso“ 
coffee makers.
Experimentally  define  the  tampering 
degree  in  the  filter  depending  on 
coffee grinding degree.

Ready coffee has
a foreign smell

Wrong  process  of  scale  removal  in 
the coffee maker boiler.
Improper storage of coffee.

See  the  chapters  «Before  the  first 
use»,  «Descaling»  and  perform 
the  procedures  described  in  them 
several times.
Use  fresh  ground  coffee.  Keep 
coffee in a dry cool place.

Coffee  overflows  the  edges  of  the 
filter. 

The  coffee  powder  is  too  fine  or 
there‘s  is  too  much  coffee  in  the 
filter,  or  the  coffee  in  the  filter  is 
tamped too strongly.

Use  ground  coffee  for  „espresso“ 
coffee makers.
Experimentally  define  the  level 
of  tampering  degree  in  the  filter 
depending  on  coffee  grinding 
degree. 
Do not overfill the filter with excessive 
amount of coffee.

Steam doesn‘t froth the milk

Low temperature of outgoing steam.

The  container  is  too  big  or  of 
improper size. 

You used skimmed milk.

Froth milk only after the indicator (5) 
lights up.

Use  narrow  high  container  for 
frothed milk.

Use  only  whole  milk  with  fat  content 
4-6%.
