How  to  use  the  freezer  compartment  ...

For  the  prepa ra tion  of  food  to  be  frozen,  plea se  con-

sult  a   specia lized  ma nua l. 

-  Food   tha t  ha s  b e  tha wed ,  even  p a rtia lly,  m ust  not  b e 

re-frozen:  you  m ust  c ook  it  in  ord er  to  c onsum e  it  (within 

24  hours)  or  to  freeze  it  onc e  a g a in. 

-  When  freezing   fresh  food s,  rem em b er  tha t  they  should  

not  touc h  other  p reviously  frozen  or  d eep   frozen  food s. 

Pla c e  the  food   tha t  you  wish  to  freeze  in  the  top   c om -

p a rtm ent  where  the  tem p era ture  will  fa ll  b elow          -18°C, 

whic h  is  id ea l  for  freezing   food   p rop erly.  Rem em b er  tha t 

p rop er  c onserva tion  d ep end s  on  the  sp eed   of  freezing . 

-  During  the  freezing   p roc ess,  a void   op ening   the  d oor  of 

the  freezer. 

-  Freeze  only  the  q ua ntities  (in  kg )  shown  on  the  d a ta  

p la te  situa ted   insid e  the  refrig era tor  c om p a rtm ent. 

-  For  the  b est  c onserva tion  a nd   d efrosting ,  rem em b er  to 

freeze  sm a ll  p ortions;  this  will  ensure  ra p id   a nd   uniform  

freezing .  Mark  p a c ka g e  with  a   d esc rip tion  of  the  c on-

tents  a nd   the  d a te  it  wa s  frozen. 

-  In  the  c a se  of  p ower  fa ilure  or  b rea kd own,  d o  not 

op en  the  freezer  d oor.  This  will  help   m a intain  the  tem -

p era ture  insid e  the  freezer  ensuring   tha t  food s  a re  c on-

served   for  a t  lea st  17  hours. 

-  Do  not  store  full  b ottles  in  the  freezer  sinc e  they  c ould  

exp lod e  when  they  freeze.  (Rem em b er  tha t  liq uid s  in-

c rea se  in  volum e  when  frozen). 

-If  the  room   tem p era ture  rem a ins  b elow  14°C  for  a n  ex-

tend ed   p eriod   of  tim e  the  freezer  will  not  rea c h  the  tem -

p era tures  req uired   for  stora g e,  a nd   stora g e  life  will  be 

shorter.  In  this  c a se,  frozen  food stuffs  should   b e  used   within  a  

rela tively  short  p eriod   of  tim e.   

  In  ord er  to  freeze  a nd   then  tha w  food s  op tim a lly,  it  is  rec -

om m end ed   tha t  you  d ivid e  food   into  sm a ll  p ortions  so  tha t 

they  freeze  q uic kly  a nd   uniform ly.  The  p a c ka g es  should   b e 

c lea rly  m a rked   with  the  c ontent  and   the  d a te  they  were 

frozen. 

  If  it  is  req uired   to  store  a   la rg e  q ua ntity  of  food stuff,  you  m a y 

ea sily  take  out  c entra l  d ra wer,  a nd   p la c e  the  food   d irec tly 

onto  the  eva p ora tor  p la te.  Ma ke  sure  tha t,  a fter  ha ving   in-

serted   the  loa d ,  the  d oor  c loses  c orrec tly.

To  rem ove  the  c onta iner  from   they  housing ,  p ush  the 

c ontainer  up wa rd s  a nd   then  p ull  it  out.  To  p ut  the  c on-

ta iner  b a c k  in  p la c e,  insert  the  top   p a rt  into  the  sp ec ia l 

housing   a nd ,  onc e  in  a   vertic a l  p osition,  just  let  it  d rop  

into  p la c e. 

Instructions  for  use 

  Fill  up   the  c ontainer  with  wa ter  via   the  sp ec ia l  hole  up   to  the 

level  ind ic a ted   (MAX  WATER  LEVEL),  taking   c a re  not  to  ex-

c eed   it:  inserting   m ore  wa ter  tha n  is  nec essa ry  will  lea d   to 

the  form a tion  of  ic e  whic h  c ould   ob struc t  the  exit  of  the  ic e 

c ub es.  If  you  ha ve  used   a n  exc essive  a m ount  of  wa ter,  you 

will  ha ve  to  wa it  until  the  ic e  ha s  m elted ,  em p ty  out  the  c on-

ta iner  a nd   re-fill  it  with  wa ter. 

  Onc e  you  ha ve  filled   the  ic e  c ontainer  up   with  wa ter 

throug h  the  hole  ind ic a ted ,  turn  it  b y  90º .  Tha nks  to  the  c on-

nec ted   c om p a rtm ents,  the  wa ter  fills  up   with  the  sp ec ia l 

c a p   a nd   p la c es  the  ic e  c onta iner  in  the  inner  d oor  of  the 

freezer  c om p a rtm ent. 

  Onc e  the  ic e  ha s  form ed ,  a ll  you  need   to  d o  is  to  knoc k  the 

c ontainer  a g a inst  a   ha rd   surfa c e  so  tha t  the  ic e  c ub es 

c om e  a wa y  from   their  housing   a nd   c om e  out  of  the  sa m e 

hole  used   to  fill  the  c onta iner  with  wa ter.  To  m a ke  it  ea sier  for 

the  ic e  c ub es  to  c om e  out,  wet  the  outsid e  of  the  c ontainer. 

  WARNING:  every  tim e  you  fill  up   the  ic e  c ontainer  with  wa -

ter,  m a ke  sure  tha t  the  sa m e  is  c om p letely  em p ty  a nd   tha t 

there  a re  no  tra c es  of  ic e  left  insid e  it. 

  The  m inim um   tim e  req uired   for  ic e  to  form   well  is  a p p roxi-

m a tely  8  hours.
