    9. TROUBLSHOOTING  

 
PROBLEM

 
SOLUTION

The hood turns off by itself.

- Make sure that the Last Time function was not active, this function will 

turn off the hood completely after a few minutes.

- In  the  case  of  remote  controlled  hoods  or  hoods  prepared  for  remote 

control this can happen exceptionally. As the hood has a receiver which 
responds  to  a  recorded  code,  it  could  happen  that  there  is  a  hood 
nearby that is controlled with a remote control using the same code and 
this could affect your hood. To solve this problem, change the code of 
the  receiver module,  using  the  process  for  changing  the  control  code 
and  synching  with  your  hood.  Follow  the  instructions  of  your  remote 
control in the section changing code and synching.

- If the problem is still not solved, contact Pando official technical service.

The hood makes a lot of noise 
or vibrates a lot.

- Check the conduit installation, as some circumstances can increase the 

noise level and vibrations, such as:

• 

An exhaust conduit that has been badly sealed and badly secured.

• 

A conduit with less diameter than recommended.

• 

Bends or narrowing close to the motor outlet. 

• 

Objects obstructing the natural air outlet of the  conduit. 

• 

Badly installed hood, not all the supports and fasteners supplied have 
been used.

• Check  the  material  of  the  wall  or  ceiling  the  hood  is  attached  to, 

depending  on  the  type  of  material,  it  may  not  be  ideal  and  could  be 
the cause or origin of amplified noise and vibrations. In these cases, 
it  is  recommended to  dampen or  insulate  between the  hood  and  the 
wall or ceiling, using rubber washers or silent-blocks. 

- If the problem is still not solved, contact Pando official technical service

The engine does not work.

- Reset as follows:

1.Disconnect  the  hood  from  the  mains  with  the  electric  panel  circuit 

breaker and wait for 2 minutes before reconnecting.

- In  case  of  a  motor  outside  the  hood,  check  the  connections  between 

the  motor  and  the  hood.  (This  should  be  done  by  a  Pando  official 
technical service or a qualified professional)

- If the problem is still not solved, contact Pando official technical service.

Hood does not extract well.

- 

Check  that  the  installation and usage  conditions are  Ok.  Se section 2 
in the manual. 

The  hood  creates  a  lot  of 
condensation.

- 

See attached bulletin for possible causes and recommendations. Page 
100. 

The  remote  control  is  not 
working  well,  sometimes  it 
does  not  connect,  it  seems 
that it lacks power or range. 

- 

Check the battery of the remote control, replace with a new one. 

- 

Check that there are no external elements that could interfere with the 
remote  control  signal,  such  as  wireless  devices  like  electric  blinds, 
digital  weather  stations,  alarms  with  frequency  inhibitors,  wireless 
sound or audio systems, etc.
