 Alwaysusethesaltintendedforusewithdishwasher.

 The salt container is located beneath the lower basket and should be illed as

explainedinthefollowing:

• Only use salt speciically designed for the use in dishwashers! Every other

typeofsaltnotspeciicallydesignedfortheuseinadishwasher,especially

tablesalt,willdamagethewatersoftener.Incaseofdamagescausedby

theuseofunsuitablesaltthemanufacturerdoesnotgiveanywarrantynor

isliableforanydamagescaused.

• Onlyillwithsaltjustbeforestartingoneofthecompletewashingprograms.

Thiswillpreventanygrainsofsaltorsaltywater,whichmayhavebeenspilled,

remainingonthebottomofthemachineforanyperiodoftime,whichmay

causecorrosion.

A. Remove the lower basket and then unscrew

and remove the cap from the salt container

(Fig.1).

B. Before the irst wash, ill 1 L of water in the salt

containerofyourmachine.

C. Placetheendofthefunnel(supplied)intothe

holeandintroduceabout1kgofsalt.Itisnor

malforasmallamountofwatertocomeoutof

thesaltcontainer(Fig2).

D. Afterillingthecontainer,screwthecaptightly

backclockwise.

E. Usually,thesaltwarninglightwillstopbeingillu

minatedwithin2-6daysafterthesaltcontainer

hasbeenilledwithsalt.

F. Immediately after illing the salt into the salt

container,awashingprogramshouldbestart

1. The salt container must only be reilled when the salt warning light in the

controlpanelcomeson.

 Dependingonhowwellthesaltdissolves,thesaltwarninglightmaystillbe

oneventhoughthesaltcontainerisilled.

 If there is no salt warning light in the control panel (for some Models), you

canestimatewhentoillthesaltintothesoftenerbythecyclesthatthedish

washerhasrun.
