Operation
Danger - risk of injury!
Wear work clothing and protective gear.

Starting operation
1. Prepare the snow blower for operation.
2. Check the position of the snow discharge
chute and adjust the snow discharge direc-
tion using the hand crank (
25 -1
).
3. Adjust the snow discharge height (
25 -2
).
4. Start the engine.
5. Set the wheel drive speed (
26 -3
):
6. The forward speeds range from 1 to 6, 1
being the slowest speed and 6 the fastest
speed.
7. The reverse speeds are R1 and R2, R1 being
the slower speed and R2 the faster speed.
8. Press the auger drive clutch lever (
26-4
).

Keep away from the augers while they are
in motion. Keep other persons or animals
away.
9. Press the wheel drive clutch lever (

).

The snow blower starts moving.
Stopping operation
1. Release (disengage) the auger and wheel
drive clutch levers in (
28
).
In order to prevent freezing, continue running
the auger and impeller until they are largely free
of snow.

The snow blower stops moving and the auger
and impeller stop running.
Changing the wheel drive speed
1. Release (disengage) the auger and wheel
drive clutch levers in (
28
).
Change the drive speed only when di-
sengaged in order to avoid damaging the
machine.
2. Change the drive speed using the speed se-
lector
(
29 -1
).
Unclogging the snow discharge chute
If snow does not discharge properly, the augers
or the discharge chute may be clogged with snow
or ice.
1. Release (disengage) the auger and wheel
drive clutch levers in (
28
).
2. Switch off the engine.
3. Disconnect the spark plug connector.
4. Carefully remove the snow from the snow
discharge chute and auger using the snow
cleaning tool (
30-1
).
If snow still does not discharge properly, contact
a qualified workshop.
Steering the caterpillar tread snowblower
Pull the left or right rocker lever (
B-5
) while
driving to steer the caterpillar tread snowblower
to the left or right.
Adjusting the height of the auger drive and plate
(760TE)
Using the lever (
B
), the height of the auger
drive, the clearing plate and the shield can be ad-
justed by shifting the weight of the snowblower.
To operate, set the lever to
Normal
.
Packed Snow ( B-9): For "packed snow", the weight
lies more in the front area of the snowblower so that
more pressure is created.

Horizontal position of the cater-
pillar treads for normal operation.
Transport ( B-11): The weight lies more to the rear so
that the snowblower and shield are removed from the
ground and can be pushed easily.
