This power tool must always be used according to the manufacturer's instructions provided in this user 
handbook. In the event of incorrect use or performance of modifi cations to this power tool, the manufacturer shall 
bear no responsibility for the resulting damages. Also follow the safety and installation instructions provided in 
this user's manual and also valid regulations related to injury and accident prevention.
A power tool with incorrect part or missing parts or without the protective cover must not be used. An authorised 
service centre will provide you with information regarding spare parts.

  Carefully read and thoroughly study this user's manual before using this power tool.
  Never allow children or persons not acquainted with these instructions to use the power tool. Local legal 

codes may limit the age of the user.

  Stop working when any other persons approach, namely children or household pets.
  Remember that the operator or user is responsible for accidents and risks caused to other persons or their 

property.

  Larger repairs may only be performed by specially trained persons.

PREPARING PRIOR TO STARTING WORK

THIS HEDGE TRIMMER MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES. 

Carefully read the provided instructions to acquaint yourself with the correct operation, preparation, 
maintenance, starting and stopping of this hedge trimmer. Acquaint yourself with the control elements and 
the correct use of this hedge trimmer.

  Never allow children to use this hedge trimmer.
  Watch out for above ground electrical lines.
  Stop working when there are other persons nearby, namely children.
  Dress appropriately! Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that could become caught in moving parts. It is 

recommended to use heavy duty gloves, footwear with non-slip soles and protective glasses.

  Be very careful when handling fuel. Fuel is fl ammable and its vapours are explosive. 

THE FOLLOWING POINTS MUST BE ADHERED TO WHEN WORKING WITH FUEL

  Use only approved containers.
  Never remove the fuel tank cap or refi ll fuel when the engine is running. 
  Allow the engine and exhaust system to cool down before adding fuel.
  do not smoke when handling fuel.

Never refi ll fuel in an enclosed area.

  Never place the hedge trimmer or fuel containers in places near open fl ames, e.g. near water heaters.
