This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including Children) with reduced physical, 
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been 
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for 
their safety. Do not allow to be used as a toy.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

−

  Connect the vacuum cleaner to 230V mains supply, equipped with fuse 16A. 

−

  Do not unplug by pulling on cord. 

−

  Do not use the appliance, when the casing or the cord is visibly damaged. 

If the non-detachable part of the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the producer or at 
a proper service point or by a qualified person in order to avoid any hazards. 
The appliance should be repaired by trained staff only. Improper repair can result in serious hazard 
for a user. In case of defects we recommend you to contact qualified service desk.

  Do not run the vacuum cleaner or brushes over the cord; it can result in cord insulation damage. 

−

  Always unplug the appliance before cleaning, assembling or dismantling. 

−

  Switch off the appliance before changing the accessories or before approaching moving parts. 

−

  Switch off the appliance before changing the accessories.

  Do not use without the bag, filters or in case damage of the bag.

  Do not use this vacuum cleaner to clean people or animals; be especially careful to keep the 

nozzles away from ears and eyes.

  Do not pick up: matches, cigarettes, hot ash. Avoid picking up sharp objects.

  Control sucking hose, pipes and nozzles – remove the rubbish accumulated inside. 

−

  Do not pick up fine dust such as: flour, cement, gypsum, toners for printers and copy machines, etc.

 The vacuum cleaner is intended for indoor usage and dry surfaces cleaning only. Dry the wet 

cleaned carpets before vacuuming.

 Do not connect other accessories than ZELMER electro turbo brush to vacuum cleaners equipped 

with electro brush socket.

The appliance meets the requirements of the following directives:

Noise generated by the appliance: 74 dB/A.

The product is marked with CE symbol on the name plate.

5500 VACUUM CLEANER TYPES 

The vacuum cleaners differ from each Rother with special accessories depending on type. 
Vacuum cleaner is equipped with filtration pad including cyclone filtration enabling vacuuming without 
traditional dust bag. Characteristic feature of cyclone filter is usage of airflow wiring phenomenon to 
separate solid dirtiness. Dirtiness separation takes place inside the part of the tank of circular section, 
where the wiring air moves the dirtiness to the tank walls and then, through the outlet to another 
chamber of the tank. After initial cleaning, the air is directed to cone HEPA12 filter, which stops the 
smallest fractions of dust. HEPA12 filter is equipped with grid cover limiting deposit on the active 
surface of the filter, which prolongs life of HEPA12 filter. 
Basic HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, H12 class, washable, is located at the cyclone filter 
compartment outlet. Special filtration material was used in washable HEPA12 filter, which aloes to 
flush the filter in running water when it is dirty and use it again. 
Outlet HEPA filter H13 class (non-washable) is located at vacuum cleaner outlet.
