The ZELMER vacuum cleaners are equipped also with a mechanic suction 
power regulation on the hose handle. In order to decrease the suction power, 
simply shift the valve as indicated in the drawing.

HOW THE BAG FULL INDICATOR WORKS 

When the bag full indicator is burning ( red color), with the nozzle or brush 
being raised over the surface, that means that the bag has to be emptied or  
exchanged. The bag full indicator can trip also when the suction hose or the elements connected to it 
have got clogged. In such a case you have to take the hose end out of the front cover hole and clean 
the hose and the elements connected to it.

HOW THE OUTLET FILTER EXCHANGE INDICATOR WORKS 

The HEPA outlet air filter has to be exchanged when: 

−

  the lamp of the outlet filter exchange indicator is burning ( pulsating red color ) – at the same time 

the suction power of the vacuum cleaner falls onto the stage 1. Of course you can finish the 
vacuuming on the required suction power by pressing the button 

 which will increase the suction 

power, 

−

  the surface of the filter is dirty.

PARK-SYSTEM” FUNCTION 

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with the park-system function: this function 
makes it possible to turn off the vacuum cleaner for some time during the 
vacuuming operation by using a suction brush hook without having to press the 
switch-off-button. To do this you have to put the suction-brush hook into the body 
hole (

). The vacuum cleaner gets turned off automatically.

HOW THE SAFETY VALVE WORKS  

The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a safety-valve which opens automatically when it comes to 
a complete clogging of the suction hose and elements connected to it or to an excessive dust filling of 
the bag. When the valve has opened you can hear 
a characteristic sound inside the vacuum cleaner, so called “fluttering”.

WHAT A SINGLE NOZZLE IS USED FOR? 

To vacuum soft floors - carpets and carpetings: 

we do recommend the 

suction-brush to vacuum carpets. 

Combine the suction-brush with the tube and switch it over to the carpet 
cleaning function: with the brush hidden: ( press the switch on the suction-
brush as per the drawing 

). 

To vacuum hard floors - floors of wood, plastic, tiles, etc. 

The most suitable tool to do this is the suction-brush: 

Make the brush come out of the suction-brush (by pressing the switch on the suction-brush as 
per the drawing 

. 

It is possible to attach a basket to the brush-nozzle to collect small elements. 
In order to attach the basket, remove the basket cover, install the basket as 
shown in the picture and close the cover. 

The nozzles for furniture, crevices and upholstery

 are 

hidden in the accessories box (

) inside the vacuum  

cleaner. The nozzles are to be fixed either to the suction tube inlet or to the hose 
itself. Open the accessories box and take out a nozzle or a brush. 

To vacuum upholstery, mattresses and so on. 

The small nozzle

 serves to vacuum upholstered furniture, 

mattresses, curtains, sheer curtains and so on. Thanks to  
a picking-up strap you an also pick up threads, fine fibers and the like very 
carefully. It is advisable to decrease the suction power to perform this job - choose 
second speed.
