The dete rgent dispenser opens automatically at the 
optimum time depending on the programme. The 
p ow d e r   o r   l i q u i d   d e te r g e n t   i s   d i s t r i b u te d   i n   t h e  
appliance and is dissol ved, the t ablet falls into the 
t ablet collecting tray where it dissol ves in doses.

T i p :  

I f   t h e   u te n s i l s   a r e   o n l y   l i g h t l y   s o i l e d ,   s l i g h t l y   l e s s  

than the indicated amount of dete rgent is usually 
adequate.

s e r v i c e   ( s e e   b a c k   p a g e ) .  

C o m b i n a t i o n   d e te r g e n t

Apar t from conventional dete rgents (Solo), a number of 
products are of fe red with additional functions. These 
products cont ain not only the dete rgent but also rinse-
a i d   a n d   s a l t   r e p l a c e m e n t   s u b s t a n c e s   ( 3 i n 1 )   a n d ,  
depending on the combination (4in1, 5in1, ...), 
additional components such as glass protection or 
s t a i n l e s s   s te e l   c l e a n e r.   C o m b i n a t i o n   d e te r g e n t s  
function only up to  a specific degree of hardness 
( u s u a l l y   2 1 ° d H ) .   O ve r   t h i s   l i m i t   s a l t   a n d   r i n s e - a i d   m u s t  
b e   a d d e d .  

As soon as combined dete rgents are used, the rinse 
programme is adjusted automatically to  ensure the best 
p o s s i b l e   r i n s i n g   a n d   d r y i n g   r e s u l t .

If programmes are shor t, t ablets may not have  full 
cleaning ef fect due to dif ferent dissol ving proper ties 
and there may even be undissol ved dete rgent 
residue. It is recommended to  use washing powder 
for these programmes.

The dosing of a t ablet is adequate for the “Intensive” 
programme (for some models). When using washing 
p ow d e r,   yo u   c a n   a p p l y   s o m e   o f   t h i s   c l e a n i n g   a g e n t  
to  the inside of  the appliance’s  door.

E ve n   i f   t h e   r i n s e - a i d   a n d / o r   s a l t   r e f i l l   i n d i c a to r   i s   l i t ,  
t h e   r i n s e   p r o g r a m m e   w i l l   r u n   c o r r e c t l y   w i t h   c o m b i n e d  
dete rgents.

If using dete rgents in a wa te r-soluble protective 
cove r :  Ta ke  hold of the cover with dr y hands only 
and put the dete rgent into an absolutely dr y 
dete rgent dispenser only,  other wise the dete rgent 
m ay   s t i c k .

I f   yo u   s w i t c h   f ro m   c o m b i n e d   d e te r g e n t s   to   s o l o  
dete rgents, ensure that the wa ter sof tening sy stem 
and amount of  rinse aid have  been set to  the correct 
va l u e .

Biological/eco dete rgents: Dete rgent products 
identified as “Bio” or “Eco” (to protect the 
environment) usually use lower quantities of active 
agents or complete ly dispense with cer t ain 
s u b s t a n c e s .   T h e   c l e a n i n g   e f fe c t   o f   s u c h   p ro d u c t s  
m ay   o c c a s i o n a l l y   b e   r e s t r i c te d .
