2. If at the time of a 24-hour start or a Daily start the system performs all four attempts to

start the engine (within one starting cycle), but the engine is not started up, the 24-hour
start and the Daily start will be cancelled until you turn on the functions again. The
system will transmit a respective signal to the handset to remove the respective icon
from the LCD panel. This is to prevent the engine from cranking with empty fuel tank.

3. If at the time of a 24-hour start and a Daily start the ignition is switched on, alarm system

is disarmed, periodic or temperature start is actuvated that particular start will be cancelled,
but the timers will reset as normal. The next timed start period will not be affected.

4. If the alarm system has been triggered and you have not disarmed and rearmed the alarm

system the 24-hour start and the Daily start will be cancelled for safety reasons and
would not function again until the alarm had been disarmed and rearmed at which time
the 24-hour periodical timer will continue to operate normally.

24-Hour Periodical Timed Start Timing Control

Before the periodical timed start feature can be switched on, the timer in the electronic

module must be programmed with a time. The timer in the electronic module will keep accurate
time but it must be programmed with a default time before it can function. Each time power is
removed from the electronic module, the time will be lost and therefore, the time must be reset
before the Periodical Timed Start feature can operation.

Engine Shut Down Procedure

The system includes 2 procedures for shutting down the engine after any start operation

including remote start, periodical start, daily start, 24-hour start, temperature start, turbo timer
and arm with engine running procedures when the alarm system is disarmed. The engine shut
down procedure implemented is dependant upon the setting of Installer function 3-4 Engine
Shut-Down.

If the ‘After disarming’ option is selected then an engine running under the control of the

remote start system will shut down as soon as the alarm system is disarmed.

If the ‘1-minute after disarming’ option is selected then an engine running under the control

of the remote start system will shut down 1-minute after the alarm system is disarmed. This
means that the ignition support will remain active for the first 1-minute of the alarm disarmed
period. This 1-minute ignition support period will be applied to all start operations including
remote start, periodical start, daily start, 24-hour start, temperature start, turbo timer and arm
with engine running. If Installer function 3-3 Handbrake Controlled Ignition Support is set to
ON then the ignition support will switch off immediately the handbrake is released during the 1-
minute ignition support period. If Installer function 3-3 Handbrake Controlled Ignition Support
is set to OFF, the handbrake will have no effect on the ignition support period and the ignition
support will remain active for the full 1-minute after the alarm system is disarmed even if the
handbrake is released.
