7. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE CONTROLS. 

It is advisable to switch on the hood shortly before starting to cook and leave it on for a while after finishing, to 
evacuate all the fumes and smells from the premises and the conduit. 
 
Further  below  all  details regarding  common special  functions  in all  Pando controls  can  be found,  and  further 
down all user’s guidance on each control model by Pando. 
 

TIMER “Ecodesign” 

* (REGLATION UE Nº 66/2014 DISEÑO ECOLÓGICO) 
 
As of 1 January 2015, with the entry into force of the new European Commission regulation EU65 “Energy 
label” and EU66 “Ecodesign”, we have adapted our products to the requirements of these   regulations. 
 
All the “Energy label” version models have an electronic timer to limit the time of suction speeds exceeding 
650m³/h. 
 
In compliance with this energy saving regulation, when the hood is turned on at maximum or medium speed 
(depending  on  the  motor  version)  and  it  exceeds  650m³/h,  after  6  or  7  minutes  (depending  on  the  motor 
version)  the  hood  will  automatically  switch  down  to a  lower  speed.  To return to  the  higher speed,  press  the 
increase speed key again and the timer will begin to count from 0 minutes. 

SPECIAL FUNCTIONS  (Pando LED-AIR Clean) 

 
Depending on the model and version of your extractor hood some functions are standard in the product, whilst 
in others is optional and some might not be compatible. You can check functions of your model in the catalogue, 
in our web site, in the rating product label or by contacting with Pando. 

Pando LED (Function only for models with Pando LED logo on their internal label) 

 
LED lighting system adjustable in brightness or intensity (*dimmable), as well as lighting temperature (tunable). 
 

Latest generation state-of-the-art lighting allows creating multiple different atmospheres, offering a wide range 
of colour spectrum between warm and cold. This is the reference type of lighting in Pando products.  
 
The electronic  dimmer  adjusts the  energy  supplied  to the  LED  lamp  so that the  lighting  emitted  intensity  can 
be  set  up.  The  brightness  can  therefore  be  adapted  at  will  anytime,  from  intensive  working  mode  to  a  light 
ambient mode, saving energy consumption at the same time.  
 
* Models coming with courtesy lighting are not compatible with the Dimmable function or brightness adjustment: 
in these models only the ºK temperature colour can be adjusted.
