Slow flashing:
• The battery is nearly dead.
Fast flashing:
• The battery is dead (p. 13).

Slow flashing:
• The tape is near the end.
• No tape is inserted (p. 18).*
• The write-protect tab on the

cassette is out (red) (p. 18).*

Fast flashing:
• The tape has run out (p. 18, 32).*

The video heads are dirt y

Fast flashing:
• You need to clean the heads using the Sony V8-25CLH/

V8-25CLD cleaning cassette (not supplied) (p. 92).
