CAUTION:
Turn off the cleaner and unplug
the electrical cord before servicing.

If the blue OPTIMUM Light is not lit
(Fig. 4c),
one of several items may need
attention. If the bag or filter needs
changing the appropriate indicator will be
illuminated in red (Fig. 4a or 4b). See Bag
and Filter change instructions. If the
Carpet/Bare Floor indicators flash on and
off repeatedly (Fig. 5), the brushroll is
stalled because of an obstruction. Once
the obstruction (rug fringe, sock, etc.) is
removed, plug in the cleaner and return to
normal use.

If the brushroll is not turning but the
carpet indicator is illuminated
, the
handle is not in the operating position
(Fig. 1b or 1c on page 14). If the handle is
folded forward in the storage position, or if
it is in the vertical parked position (Fig.
1a), the brushroll will not operate.

If the cleaner is plugged in but the
cleaner will not turn on
and no
indicators illuminate, check to ensure that
the bag cover (Fig. 6) is securely in place.
If it is not, latch it correctly and turn on the
cleaner.

If the cleaner suddenly shuts off and
none of the indicators are illuminated,
it is probable that the suction motor has
overheated. Unplug the cleaner and
check for a full bag, blocked filter, or other
obstruction. If any of those conditions are
found, correct the problem, wait 30
minutes, then plug in the cleaner and
return to normal use.
CHANGING THE DUST BAG
(Bag style
ES85)
CAUTION:
Turn off the cleaner and unplug
the electrical cord before servicing. When the
BAG CHANGE indicator is illuminated in red:
18 Push the bag cover latch and remove the
cover as shown (Fig. 6).

Pivot the bag collar away from the bag
inlet (Fig. 7) and lift the bag by the collar
tab out of the chamber.

Place the new bag and collar into the
chamber and slide the collar into the track
with the collar tab pointing upward. Push
the collar onto the bag inlet so that it is
snugly in place. Tuck remainder of bag
inside the bag compartment. The bag
collar must be secured over the inlet tube
for the bag cover to close properly.
Note: The cleaner will not turn on unless
the bag cover is securely latched in place.

A pre-motor filter is included with each
package of replacement bags. It is a good
idea to replace the filter (see Fig. 8) when
you install the last bag from your
replacement bag package. Slide the filter
frame upward and remove the dirty filter.
Install a clean filter and slide the frame
back into place.

Place the front of the bag cover into its
locating slots and push to latch shut.

apague la aspiradora y desenchufe el cordón
eléctrico.

Si la luz azul Optimum no está encendida
(Fig. 4c), alguno de los elementos puede
necesitar atención. Si es necesario cambiar
la bolsa o el filtro, se enciende con luz roja
el indicador correspondiente (Fig. 4a o 4b).
Si es necesario cambiar la bolsa o el filtro
de descarga, se enciende la luz
correspondiente (Fig. 4a o 4b). Vea las
instrucciones de cambio de bolsa o filtro. Si
los indicadores de alfombra/piso duro
destellan repetidamente (Fig. 5), significa
que el cepillo giratorio está atascado debido
a una obstrucción. Una vez eliminada la
obstrucción (fleco de felpudo, calcetín, etc.),
enchufe la aspiradora y vuelva a usarla
normalmente.

Si el cepillo no gira pero el indicador de
alfombra está encendido
, significa que el
mango no está en posición de operación
(Fig. 1b o 1c de la página 14). Si el mango
se pliega hacia adelante en posición de
almacenamiento o si está estacionado en
posición vertical (Fig. 1a), el cepillo giratorio
no funciona.

Si la aspiradora está enchufada pero no
se enciende y no se iluminan los
indicadores
, verifique que la cubierta de la
bolsa (Fig. 6) esté firmemente colocada en
su sitio.

Si la aspiradora se detiene bruscamente
y no queda encendido ninguno de los
indicadores,
es probable que el motor de
succión se haya recalentado. Desenchufe la
aspiradora y verifique si la bolsa está llena,
el filtro está bloqueado o hay alguna otra
obstrucción. Si se descubre alguna de estas
condiciones, corrija el problema, espere 30
minutos, luego enchufe la aspiradora y
vuelva a usarla normalmente.
CAMBIO DE LA BOLSA PARA POLVO
(Bolsa
tipo ES85)
PRECAUCIÓN
: Antes de realizar el servicio,
apague la aspiradora "off" y desenchufe el
cordón eléctrico. Cuando el indicador BAG
CHANGE (Cambio de bolsa) se enciende con
luz roja:

Presione la traba de la cubierta de la bolsa y
retire la cubierta como se muestra (Fig. 6).

Gire el aro de la bolsa alejándolo de la
entrada de la misma (Fig. 7) y levante la
bolsa tomándola por la lengüeta del aro
para extraerla de la cámara.

Coloque la nueva bolsa y el aro en la
cámara y deslice el aro a su pista con la
lengüeta del mismo apuntando hacia arriba.
Presione el aro hacia adentro de la entrada
de la bolsa de modo que quede colocado
ajustadamente en su sitio. Introduzca el
resto de la bolsa en el compartimiento de la
misma. Para que la cubierta de la bolsa
cierre correctamente, el aro de la bolsa
debe estar fijado sobre el tubo de entrada.
Nota: La aspiradora no se enciende si la
cubierta de la bolsa no está firmemente
trabada en su sitio.

Se incluye un prefiltro del motor con cada
paquete de bolsas de reemplazo. Es buena
idea reemplazar el filtro (vea la Fig. 8)
cuando instala la última bolsa de su paquete
de bolsas de reemplazo. Deslice el bastidor
del filtro hacia arriba y retire el filtro sucio.
Instale un filtro limpio y deslice el bastidor a
su sitio.

Coloque el frente de la cubierta de la bolsa
en sus ranuras guía y presiónela para cerrar
la traba.
