pack is too warm, allow it to cool down before
resuming operation. If the product still does
not work, recharge the battery.
NOTE:
The battery pack LED indicator will
not work if the battery protection feature has
caused the battery pack to stop powering
the product. Turn off the product or remove
the battery pack from the product and the
battery pack LED indicator will resume normal
function.
TELESCOPIC HANDLE
The product is equipped with a telescopic
handle that can be adjusted for storage and
operation. The telescopic handle must be fully
extended when setting up the product for use.
NOTE:
The product will not function if the
telescopic handle is not fully extended and
the two latches are not in the correct position.
SELF-PROPEL PADDLES
WARNING
Never engage the blades when transporting
the product from one location to another.
Only engage the blades by pulling the
bail when you are ready to mow. Failure
to follow these instructions can result in
serious personal injury
.
The product is equipped with self-propel
paddles that activate the self-propel feature.
Squeeze one or both of the paddles to engage
the self-propel feature. To disengage the self-
propel feature, release the paddles.
NOTE:
The self-propel paddles can be used
without engaging the blade when moving
the product to another location. Release the
paddles before attempting to re-engage the
blade.
CRUISE CONTROL
WARNING
Always adjust the cruise control before
engaging the blade. Adjusting the cruise
control while mowing may cause you to lose
control and could result in serious injury.
WARNING
When using the self-propel feature, ensure
that the cruise control is set at a speed that
the user is comfortable with when walking
behind the product. The user may lose
control of the product if the cruise control is
set at a speed that is too fast for the user’s
walking pace. Release the self-propel
paddles and bail if you cannot keep up with
the product, and adjust the cruise control as
needed. Failure to follow these instructions
can result in serious personal injury.
The cruise control feature can be used to
adjust the speed of the product to accomodate
the user’s pace when the self-propel feature is
engaged. Slide the cruise control selector on
the handle to adjust the cruise control speed.
START BUTTON AND ON/OFF BAIL
The start button and on/off bail are used to run
the blade.
Squeeze the on/off bail, and press the start
button to start the product. Release the start
button and keep squeezing the on/off bail to
run the blade. Release the on/off bail to stop
the blade.
TILT PROTECTION
The tilt protection feature stops the motor if
the product is operated on inclines greater
than 45º for more than four seconds. The tilt
protection feature also prevents the product
from starting if it is in a vertical position or
tilted at an angle greater than 45º.
GRASS CATCHER
The grass catcher collects grass clippings and
prevents them from being discharged across
the lawn.
NOTE:
The product does not start without the
grass catcher or mulch plug attached.
MULCH PLUG
The mulch plug covers the rear discharge
opening, which allows the blade to cut and
recut for

ner clipppings.
