Danger: 

Never press the spindle lock (9) while 

the motor is running. Check that the cutter is stati-

onary and securely seated before starting work.

Note: 

Do not use blunt or damaged disk cutters.

5.7 Charging the battery (Fig. 10-11)

1.  Remove the battery pack (a) from the handle, 

pressing the pushlock button (b) downward to 

do so.

2.  Check that your mains voltage supply mat-

ches the voltage shown on the rating plate 

of the battery charger. Insert the power plug 

of the charger (c) into the power socket. The 

green LED starts to 

fl

 ash.

3.  Insert the battery pack into the charger.

4.  In the section entitled „Charger indicator“ you 

will 

fi

 nd a table with an explanation of the LED 

indicator on the charger.

The battery pack can become slightly warm du-

ring charging. This is normal.

If the battery pack does not charge, check:

• 

whether mains voltage is present at the pow-

er socket

• 

whether there is good contact at the charging 

contacts

If the battery pack still does not charge, please 

send

• 

the charger

• 

and the battery pack

to our customer service center.

To ensure that items are properly packaged 

and delivered when you send them to us, 

please contact our customer service or the 

point of sale at which the equipment was 

purchased.

When shipping or disposing of batteries and 

cordless tools, always ensure that they are 

packed individually in plastic bags to prevent 

short circuits and 

fi

 res.

To ensure that the battery pack provides long ser-

vice, you should take care to recharge it promptly. 

You must recharge the battery pack when you 

notice that the performance of the device drops. 

Never allow the battery pack to become fully di-

scharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.

5.8 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 12)

Press the button for the battery capacity indicator 

(d). The battery capacity indicator (e) shows the 

charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.

All 3 LEDs are lit:

The battery is fully charged.

2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:

The battery has an adequate remaining charge.

1 LED 

fl

 ashes:

The battery is empty, recharge the battery.

All LEDs blink:

The battery temperature is too low. Remove the 

battery from the equipment, keep it at room tem-

perature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this me-

ans that the rechargeable battery has undergone 

exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove 

the battery from the equipment. Never use or 

charge a defective battery.

6. Operation

6.1 On/O

  switch (Fig. 3; item 1)

To start the unit, slide the On/O

ff

  switch (1) for-

ward and press it down. To switch o

ff

  the biscuit 

jointer, depress the On/O

ff

  switch (1) at the back. 

The On/O

ff

  switch (1) will jump back into its star-

ting position.

6.2 Marking a workpiece (Fig. 13)

Before you start working with the biscuit jointer, 

the workpiece must be marked as follows:

• 

Place the two parts side by side; the workpie-

ces must be securely clamped.

• 

Draw a line with a pencil at right angles to the 

joint.

• 

Multiple joints will be required on longer pie-

ces of wood.

• 

The distance between two lines should be at 

least 10 cm.

Note:

On thicker workpieces you can create additional 

stability by cutting two slots one above the other; 

on thinner workpieces a single joint will be suf-

fi

 cient.
