MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS, RANGE HOODS
WITH BOX
- Verify that the dimensions of the appliance base are compatible with the dimensions of the
range hood (see quoted illustration of the range hood).
- Make the hole on the kitchen top according to indications of ill.1 and insert the range hood
as indicated in ill.2.
- Fix the range hood supports at the bottom of the unit after checking for vertical and horizontal
alignment (see ill.2).
- Find installation type for outside exhaust version:
a) With motor unit (UM) (MU) fixed on the range hood:
remove frontal blind plug TC (BP) (see
ill. 3 a). Define the direction of air outlet by rotating the FL flange of the motor unit. Fix UM
(MU) to the range hood according to ill. 3b (top, bottom or side outlet). Connect the UM (MU)
motor outlet to the air discharge duct.
b) Remote motor positioned in technical compartment protected by atmospheric agents
inside the residence: define the type of air outlet:
- Side or bottom with 90x220 mm rectangular piping (ill. 4a). Check that the blind plug TC
(BP) is mounted on the range hood, remove the rectangular plug corresponding the the
desired outlet and mount the supplied flange for rectangular pipe FR (ill. 4b). Fix the FM
flange on UM (MU) and place UM (MU) in the desired position. Connect the range hood
outlet to the UM (MU) inlet with suitable piping and connect the UM (MU) motor outlet to
the air discharge duct.
- Front or side with 150 mm diameter circular piping (ill. 4c). Remove the blind plug TC (BP),
mount the flange FC on the range hood, fix the flange FM on UM (MU) and place UM
(MU) in the desired position. Connect the range hood air outlet to the UM (MU) inlet with
suitable piping and connect the UM (MU) motor outlet to the air discharge duct.
Comply with current regulations for air discharge.
c) Recirculation version:
in this version, the cooking fumes are reintroduced into the environ-
ment after being purified by the carbon filters located in the metal filters compartment. For
their location see section H2. Mount UM (MU) as indicated in ill. 3b and connect the UM
(MU) motor outlet to the filter that discharges towards the kitchen interior environment, set
on the appliance containing the range hood.
- Make electrical connections between electronic box SC and the range hood connector
block according to the diagram in ill. 5.
- Fix electrical box SC in a suitable position at the bottom of the unit.
- Connect the motor cable to the power supply in compliance with current regulations.
